Product description
Each pack contains a pair of silicone grip sleeves sized to create thick-handles on standard gym equipment. Dimensions: closed thickness 2.2 inches (5.5 cm), inner diameter approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm), and length about 4.7 inches. The sleeves are made from high-density silicone rubber designed to resist compression and slipping under typical loads.
Installation is straightforward and fast — spread the opening, slip it over a bar or cable end, and release so the sleeve closes around the handle. They attach to barbells, dumbbell handles, pulldown ropes, cable attachments, kettlebell handles and push-up bars, converting any regular bar into a thicker 2-inch grip for targeted training.
A thicker handle changes the way you hold weights, increasing muscle activation in the forearms, hands and upper body which can translate into greater strength and size over time. The wider surface area also redistributes pressure away from small joints, often easing wrist and elbow stress; the neutral-oriented profile is intended to reduce strain on the elbow. These grips are primarily for grip development and comfort, and they pair well with a variety of strength and cable exercises.
Pros
- Quick to attach and remove
- Dense silicone resists compression
- Increases forearm activation and comfort
Cons
- May be too bulky for small hands
- Can shift or rotate on some bars
- Texture and fit vary by user
VerdictThese thick-handle adapters convert conventional bars, ropes and handles into 2-inch grips to encourage greater forearm engagement and a more comfortable hand position. Constructed from high-density silicone, they’re quick to attach and remove and will fit most standard bars and cable ends. They deliver noticeable muscle recruitment and joint relief for many users, though some find the texture, fi

Slippery on some pieces
Tends to slide and shift; the rubber is thicker than I wanted for my setup.

Effective but odd feel
They function fine, but the surface is softer than I expected and feels strange at first. Hoping the sensation settles with use.

Too bulky for smaller hands
Quality seems fine but they’re extremely thick. My partner can’t wrap her hands around them and I’ve felt extra strain in my elbow after prolonged gripping.

Comfort varies by hand size
They work fine but even with very large hands they can feel awkward and uncomfortable.

Great for narrow bars
Perfect for a 1-inch bar — no more digging into my palms during sets.

Incorrect inner diameter—watch out
The stated inner diameter is misleading: mine measured about 28 mm, not the advertised 33 mm, making the outside roughly 6 cm thick. A wrap of tape fixed it, and they do build strong grip, but cheaper imports may have different specs.

Ideal for beginners
Good introductory thick grips — not overly massive and they definitely made my TRX session tougher. Worth the purchase.

Works as intended
Snaps onto standard bars and performs exactly as expected.

Reliable performance
Does the job well. There’s a small gap on standard bars but no slipping so far.

Well made with tapered ends
Solid quality and I appreciate the tapered profiles that help with hand placement and grip.

Solid, heavy-duty construction
I bought these to protect a painted pull-up bar while hanging heavy clips. They’re robust and feel durable — I’ll also try them for some barbell work. The thicker handle should target the forearms well.

Shifts under load
These rotate and slide on dumbbells because of the silicone quality. There’s a typical gap in the seam, and while the wider diameter is effective, the slipping makes them less useful with heavier or slippery plates.

Noticeable training difference
Just got a pair and will order another. They don’t close fully on every handle, but with positioning and a tighter squeeze you can really feel the added challenge.
