Product description
Heritage-inspired design meets functional training gear. This lifting belt takes cues from classic powerlifting styles and adapts them for present-day gym routines, delivering a straightforward support solution for heavy lifts.
What you receive is a single 100% genuine cowhide leather belt constructed in three bonded layers measuring approximately 5 mm in thickness. The strap is finished with reinforced solid rivets and secured by a heavy double-prong metal buckle for reliable closure under load. Assembly and basic usage instructions are included to help you get the most from the belt safely.
Built to last, the belt uses hard-wearing leather that is intentionally stiff on arrival so it can break in and conform to your shape with repeated use. The heavy hardware and multiple rivets are intended to withstand frequent training sessions and provide consistent tension while bracing.
To find the correct size, measure your waist at navel level and plan to wear the belt over a T-shirt for best comfort. A sizing chart is provided in the product images to match your measurement to the recommended belt size. The belt is primarily intended for use during heavier sets — especially squats and deadlifts — where increased intra-abdominal pressure helps stabilize the spine.
Pros
- Sturdy three-layer 5mm cowhide construction
- Strong double-prong buckle and reinforced rivets
- Provides solid trunk support for heavy lifts
Cons
- Quite firm at first and needs break-in time
- Can feel bulky if worn throughout an entire session
- Leather requires periodic cleaning after sweaty workouts
VerdictA durable leather option for lifters wanting firm back and abdominal support during heavy compound movements. The thick, three-layer cowhide construction and heavy-duty hardware make it a long-lasting training aid; it arrives stiff and molds to the user over time. Ideal for those who want solid stability for squats and deadlifts, provided you size it carefully and break it in before extended use.

Firm support, needs upkeep
Provides firm support where you need it and adjusts to your waist easily. Note that the leather soaks up sweat, so I clean the inner side regularly to keep it fresh.

Solid starter belt for heavy sets
I'm new to lifting and picked up this leather belt for squats and deadlifts. It's well built and gives clear support when I brace for heavier reps. The leather is stiff at first but is loosening up with regular use. Once positioned it holds steady and doesn't slide. I typically wear it only for heavy sets rather than an entire session. Overall a durable, attractive belt that suits beginners moving into heavier compound lifts.

Meets expectations
Does its job at a reasonable price. The maker states it is natural leather.

Runs small
Quality and thickness were fine, but the sizing felt small for me. I didn’t like that it ran tighter than expected.
