Product description
This grounding kit is intended to control static charge that builds up inside dust collection hoses, fittings and ductwork while equipment runs. By providing a conductive path to chassis or building ground, it reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge that can ignite fine dust.
The package supplies 50 feet of bare copper wire intended for routing along hose exteriors or wrapped around duct runs. Fastening hardware is included so the wire can be clamped or bolted into place for reliable conductivity. The wire is uninsulated copper to ensure good electrical contact where needed.
Hardware and dimensions are specified for straightforward replacement and installation: bolt thread M5 x 0.8, thread length 9.5 mm, and total bolt length 13.35 mm. A small pilot drill (3/32 inch) and an instruction sheet are included to make attachment points and mounting simpler.
What’s in the box: 50 feet of copper grounding wire, 5 wire nuts for splicing, 2 grounding bolts, 2 ring-style wire connectors, a 3/32-inch drill bit and printed installation instructions. The kit is offered as a direct substitute for OEM# JW1053, so it fits many common dust collection components without modification.
For larger systems or multiple branches, more than one kit may be required to ensure continuous bonding across all segments. Install the wire along the length of hoses or ducting and secure it with the supplied hardware so static charges can safely bleed to ground.
Pros
- Complete kit with 50 ft of bare copper
- Includes bolts, connectors and a drill bit
- Simple installation for most setups
Cons
- May be insufficient for very large systems
- Wire is uninsulated (bare copper)
- Some users report actual wire length variance
VerdictA practical safety accessory that supplies 50 feet of bare copper and the fasteners needed to ground hoses, ductwork and fittings. Easy to install for most small-to-medium systems; keep extras on hand for larger setups. Some users report shorter-than-expected wire runs, so verify length during installation.

Quick install, fit my fixtures
Fast to put in place. Fit three fixtures perfectly.

Wire shorter than expected
Fed the wire through a long run and found far less than 50 ft usable—only around 15 ft left after routing. I had to buy extra to finish the job.

Solid kit
Does what it should.

Matches other grounding kits I've used
Identical components to other grounding kits I purchased earlier. I wrap the wire around my PVC ductwork to stop shocks. It performs well, so I'll get more if I expand my system.

Eliminated static
No more static shocks in my dust collector hoses.
