Product description
What you get: a red-and-black iambic double-paddle Morse key with pre-soldered braided copper lead connections and a 3.5 mm stereo jack for plug-and-play hookup. The unit arrives assembled and ready to mount.
Materials and contacts: all contact surfaces are machined from solid brass for consistent electrical contact. Fasteners are 304 stainless steel and the return spring is nickel-plated steel. All wiring is stranded copper braid and soldered for solid, low-resistance joints.
Mechanical design: the paddles ride on four double-sealed precision ground ball bearings for a near-frictionless action; these bearings are ABEC-rated for high RPMs to emphasize smooth movement. The usable paddle grip is approximately 1.1 inches, giving a comfortable surface area for finger operation. Dit and dah travel to the center contact can be adjusted independently.
Construction notes: paddle bodies are produced from PLA biodegradable plastic to keep weight low and to make the key easy to carry. The assembly uses stainless fasteners and durable soldered connections throughout.
Mounting and basic dimensions: four corner holes accept #6 wood or machine screws so you can attach this key to a custom base. A standard 3.5 mm stereo receptacle provides simple wiring to your transceiver or practice oscillator. Intended for portable use or as a lightweight shack key, it is manufactured in the USA.
Pros
- Very smooth, low‑friction action
- Solid brass electrical contacts
- Lightweight and easily mountable
Cons
- PLA body not as rugged as all-metal models
- May need occasional contact tuning
- Less ballast for heavy-handed operation
VerdictThis double-paddle iambic key delivers very smooth, rapid action and useful adjustability in a lightweight package. Solid brass contacts and stainless fasteners provide reliable electrical and mechanical interfaces, and the sealed ball bearings give exceptionally low friction. The PLA body keeps weight down for portable use, though all-metal alternatives will be stiffer over time. Overall a capabl

Well made and handy
Good build and tidy workmanship. Ideal for portable work and also sits nicely on the bench with a bit of double-sided tape to hold it steady.

Durability concerns with plastic
Worked well at first but required more frequent adjustments after a few weeks. Switched to an all-metal paddle later; the metal one stayed stable with only minor tweaks. I tried cleaning the contacts as suggested, which helped briefly, but the plastic unit became unreliable under heavier use.

Great travel companion
Compact and light, this key is my go-to for portable outings. The 3D-printed paddles and plastic body keep the weight down, yet the feel during use is surprisingly pleasant. I own several higher-end keys for home, but this is the one I pack for field days and parks-on-the-air.

Adequate for practice
Does the job for练ding and routine practice sessions. Not fancy, but functional for honing CW skills.

Solid choice for learners
I picked this up while learning CW and it's been reliable. Seasoned operators at my club praised its feel. I made a custom wooden base instead of buying a finished metal one. I may move to a heavier key eventually, but I don't regret this unit.
