Product description
This J-pipe mast is a one-piece, powder-coated metal pole intended for mounting outdoor antennas, dishes, weather instruments, or small security cameras. The powder finish helps resist corrosion and keeps the surface looking clean through seasons of exposure.
The mast is 38 inches long and has a 1.66-inch outside diameter, giving extra elevation when standard short poles aren’t sufficient. Its J-bend design lets you tilt the pole down after loosening a couple of bolts, making servicing or adjusting the mounted device straightforward without full removal.
It installs with a mounting foot that can be fitted at either end of the pole to suit roof- or wall-mount applications. The package includes mast and bracket hardware so you have what’s needed to attach it right away. Constructed from heavy-gauge metal, it provides a firmer platform than many multi-piece masts and is suitable for antennas, anemometers, omni antennas, and small solar WiFi cameras.
Pros
- Solid, single-piece construction reduces wobble
- Powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance
- Includes mast and bracket hardware for installation
Cons
- Fasteners provided are not stainless
- Heavier than thin-section poles
- Limited to 38" length — may need extension for some installs
VerdictThis 38" one-piece J-pipe mast offers a sturdy, corrosion-resistant option for elevating outdoor antennas and small devices. The powder-coated steel construction and single-piece design reduce wobble compared with multi-section poles, and the J-bend allows the mast to tilt down for easy access. It ships with mounting/bracket hardware so you can fix it to a roof or siding and comes in a diameter (1

Heavy-duty but manageable
Very sturdy yet light enough for one person to fit. Baseplate angle adjusts and it arrived with both short and long lag screws.

Stable one-piece with easy tilt access
Chose this after seeing complaints about two-piece masts feeling shaky. It’s solid, and loosening a couple bolts lets you tilt it down for service.

Withstood wind and rain
Bolted to wood with four of the included bolts. Stayed steady through heavy wind and rain; the bend helps fine-tune height and tilt.

Good fit for my Davis station
Needed a slightly larger diameter than my previous mount; this measures just under 1-3/4" outside and fits the anemometer perfectly.

Great for raising a solar WiFi camera
Worked well for lifting my solar security camera so it avoids the house’s afternoon shadow.

Adjustable but fasteners could be better
I appreciated the tilt and angle options. The supplied hardware isn’t stainless, so I’m concerned about rust long-term.
