Product description
What’s included
One sealed tub of Tetra TetraMin XL Tropical Flakes (5.65 ounces) containing oversized flakes intended for large top- and mid-feeding tropical aquarium fish.
Formula and ingredients
The flakes are made from easily digestible protein sources plus a blend of vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, biotin and targeted immunostimulants (the ProCare-style mix) to support resistance to disease and general vitality. Prebiotics have been added to aid digestive health, and antioxidants contribute to cellular well-being. The XL format gives larger specimens a flake they can take in easily without excessive shredding.
Performance and use
These flakes are formulated to minimize leaching and not cloud the aquarium when dispensed as recommended. Feed two to three times each day, offering only the amount your fish can finish in roughly three minutes to reduce waste and maintain water clarity. The flakes are intended as a complete staple diet, suitable for everyday feeding of large community and single-species tanks with top- and mid-level feeders.
Packaging and handling
The product arrives in a resealable tub to preserve freshness and color. Store the container in a cool, dry place with the lid secured. Typical use scenarios include cichlids, oscars, large tetras and other medium-to-large tropicals that prefer flake foods. Regular partial water changes and routine filtration will help preserve water quality alongside proper feeding practices.
Brand background
The formula builds on decades of fish-food development and focuses on delivering balanced nutrients for long-term aquarium health. Whether you keep several large fish or a single impressive specimen, the XL flakes offer a convenient way to provide complete nutrition while helping keep tanks clear when fed responsibly.

VerdictTetraMin XL delivers a complete everyday diet for larger tropical species with oversized flakes they can easily eat. Acceptable feed
Comparable to big-box alternatives and my fish ate it, so it worked for my tank.

Crumbles a bit
Pieces were more broken up than I expected. Fish still ate them but I’d prefer larger intact flakes.

Long-lasting for a big tank
I used this while I had a 75-gallon setup and it lasted a long time. I don’t keep a tank now, but when I did I was very pleased.

Good for cichlids
I wanted bigger flakes for my cichlids and this product fits the bill. I’ve trusted this brand for years and my fish do well.

Henry gives five fins
My stubborn little companion has survived everything, and these flakes get him excited. He circles the tank and rushes the surface when flakes drop—definitely a hit.

Generous tubs and flakes
I ordered expecting smaller tubs but received larger ones with bigger flakes. Two tubs will last a long time and the flake size is ideal for large fish.
