Product description
This manual bilge pump is a hand-operated water extractor designed for small boats, kayaks, canoes and dinghies. The unit collapses for compact storage: its closed length is 16.5 inches and it extends to about 25.5 inches when in use. A flexible hose roughly 23.2 inches long is supplied and can be attached to either of the two water inlets to suit intake or discharge needs.
Performance is driven by a rubber sealing system and internal spacers that help channel water into the pump quickly. Each full stroke moves approximately 0.4 liters of water, and the watertight rubber seal is engineered to maintain suction without slipping or leaking. The body is constructed of durable plastic with a foam-padded handgrip that provides a nonslip surface and added buoyancy should the pump be dropped.
The pump is intended for emergency and routine water removal tasks on the water. Use it after righting a capsized kayak, to clear bilge water, or to remove standing liquid from grooves and tight spots. It operates entirely by hand and does not require batteries or shore power, making it useful when electricity isn’t available.
Included with the pump is the main pump body, the 23.2" hose, and a basic user leaflet with usage tips. The overall unit weighs about 0.78 pounds, making it easy to stow in a hatch or carry in a safety kit. Because only one short hose is supplied, many users pair it with longer or narrower tubing and fittings for dual-hose setups or specialized intake adapters. Manufacturer support is available for product questions and assistance.
Pros
- Lightweight and portable
- Strong suction per stroke (0.4 L)
- Foam grip provides buoyancy and comfort
Cons
- Supplied hose is fairly short
- Can ingest small debris with no easy internal access
- May require extra fittings for some setups
VerdictA reliable, no-power solution for removing unwanted water from small craft. It delivers respectable suction (0.4 L per stroke), is easy to tote and operate, and handles routine bilge tasks well. Expect to add a sponge for the final trace water or longer hoses/adapters for complex setups; watch for small debris and hose length limitations.

Sturdy and moves water well
Feels robust and handles water removal impressively for a hand pump.

Watch out for debris
It pumps well, but the included hose is short. If pebbles or grit get inside there’s no easy way to clean them out — shaking helps but is awkward. I recommend using a longer hose and keeping debris out.

Performs as expected
Does the job but moves water slowly — seems normal for a hand pump. It floats if you drop it, which is handy.

Well made and effective
Solid construction and reliable performance. I’d recommend it to others.

Does what it should
I use it to clear the bilge area of my boat and it works fine for that purpose.

Not great for awkward holes
This pump is awkward for pumping from a hole in the ground. The body is short and lacks a comfortable hold, so it can be tiring and fiddly to use in that scenario.

Straightforward and functional
Very easy to use — does exactly what it’s meant to do.

Handy for non-boating uses too
I don’t kayak but this cleared the last couple of inches from my hot tub quickly. The hose detaches for compact storage and you can reverse flow. Very useful around the house.

Strong suction but needed extra hoses
Great intake power. Only a single 2 ft x 1-1/8" hose is included, so we bought smaller and longer hose, couplings and clamps to run both intake and discharge. Our modifications cost nearly as much as the pump, so four stars.

Perfect for tight spaces
Worked great getting water out of narrow grooves and hard-to-reach areas on our boat.

Useful under decks and in hulls
I reversed the hose to reach under the aluminum deck of my 4 m RIB and it evacuated water successfully. The intake can stick to surfaces, so an end screen would be helpful. Overall glad to have it on trips.

Simple to operate and easy to stash
When my kayak had about 10–20% water after a flip this pump removed almost everything left. It won’t get the last film of water — keep a sponge — but it’s reliable and I also use it to drain my kayak after cleaning.
