Product description
What’s included: the listing is for the Ascent II macerating pump unit only — toilet and fixtures are not part of the package. The assembly houses the cutter, motor, control electronics and connection points for discharge and auxiliary inlets.
Construction and cutter: the cutter assembly uses stainless steel blades that are user-replaceable with heavy-duty utility knife blades, reducing replacement cost and downtime. The unit incorporates advanced Razor Cut-style maceration for finer shredding of waste and an advance-run feature that verifies the cutter is turning when the pump runs.
Controls and alarms: the module uses an IST-style solid-state electronic switching system to provide operational data and reliable control logic. A built-in audible alarm and LED indicators communicate fault conditions; an external touchpad provides alarm silence and a manual override function.
Plumbing and access: the pump pushes waste through a 1" discharge and is rated to lift up to 25 feet vertically and push up to 150 feet horizontally. Auxiliary inlet ports on each side accept a lavatory and/or shower connection. A removable service panel gives quick access to the cutter area for inspection and blade changes without disconnecting the plumbing.
Pros
- Replaceable stainless steel blades
- Side inlets for sink or shower connections
- Removable service panel for easy access
Cons
- May require cutting and recementing PVC on some swaps
- 1" discharge may need adapters for some runs
- External alarm is basic, not networked
VerdictA purpose-built macerator for retrofit and addition projects, this Ascent II unit provides reliable waste maceration and flexible hookup options. Stainless steel replaceable blades and an accessible service panel simplify maintenance. Solid-state switching and advance-run features help ensure the cutter spins when needed, while built-in alarm and LED indicators with an external touchpad give basic

Some PVC adjustments needed
Swapped it into a house unit that went bad after four years. Most PVC fittings threaded onto the new housing, but the small exhaust line had to be cut and recemented into the replacement valve. Runs flawlessly now.
