Product description
What’s included: the 4.5W LED step fixture with oil-rubbed bronze faceplate, mounting hardware (screws and template), a gasketed housing, and waterproof wire connectors for wet-location wiring.
Construction and specs: Rated for 120–277V operation, this compact step light features a zinc-alloy front for corrosion resistance and a sealed enclosure with an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water. It is ETL-listed and produces light with a high CRI90 for accurate color rendering. The lamp draws 4.5 watts and is intended for continuous, low-level illumination.
Color and control: The unit offers five selectable color temperatures — 1800K, 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K — with the 1800K setting providing a warm, candlelike glow. Brightness is dimmable from full output down to 10% for flexible ambiance and task lighting.
Optics and use: Fixed-direction louvers reduce glare and direct the beam downward, making the fixture ideal for stair treads, pathway accents, deck risers, patios, garages, and commercial walkways. The compact footprint allows installation in tight locations and the robust housing suits both indoor and outdoor wet areas.
Pros
- Multiple selectable color temperatures including 1800K
- Durable zinc-alloy housing with IP65 weather rating
- Dimmable with high CRI90 for accurate color
Cons
- Requires mains wiring (120–277V) for installation
- Lower lumen output due to compact 4.5W design
- Some installations may need masonry or wood modification
VerdictThis LED step light delivers versatile, low-power illumination with multiple color-temperature choices and robust weatherproofing. The zinc-alloy face and IP65 rating make it suited for wet or outdoor installations, while CRI90 and dimming offer accurate color and flexible control. It’s a practical upgrade for stairwells, decks, patios, and commercial corridors when you want compact, glare-control

Easy modern replacement for old CFL units
I swapped out two old CFL step lights beside my back door. Removing the old fixtures took time, but installing these was straightforward. I set them to 3000K and they read slightly less yellow and a bit brighter than the CFLs. The first install took a while to remove the old unit, but the second one was much quicker.

Good dimmable option for a home theater
This dimmable step light includes a metal faceplate, mounting template, screws, and clear instructions. The color switch is on the back and it’s rated for outdoor use with a three-year warranty. Price felt a bit high but the quality is good.
