Product description
Overview:
The Inpulse 300 MK2 is a two-channel DJ controller designed for people learning to mix and for casual performers. The unit includes the controller itself, a USB-A to USB-B cable for computer connection, quick-start documentation, and download/activation codes for Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED plus access to the maker’s online DJ Academy.
Build and layout:
Constructed mostly from durable ABS plastic with soft-touch knobs and rubber performance pads, the controller has two touch-capacitive jogs with a tactile top ring, pitch faders, standard EQ and filter controls, and visual beat-matching LEDs integrated around the jogs. The housing contains a built-in stereo audio interface for direct RCA outputs and a headphone output for cueing.
Dimensions and connectivity:
The controller is compact and travel-friendly—small enough to fit on a tabletop with two decks visible at once. It connects to a computer by USB and exposes line outputs for powered monitors or a mixer, plus a headphone jack for cueing. MIDI mapping and MIDI-over-USB allow routing with the included software or third-party apps.
How it’s used:
Set up by connecting the unit to a laptop, installing drivers if needed, and launching Serato DJ Lite or DJUCED. Use the illuminated guides to train manual beatmatching, trigger hot cues and samples with the rubber pads, and stream music via supported services or play local files. The Inpulse 300 MK2 also supports integrating external gear like turntables or an outboard mixer when required.

Solid value and learning resources make it a winner
I picked this after comparing similar entry-level controllers and I’m very pleased. It ships with both DJ programs and access to the brand’s online academy, which sold me. As a hobbyist who once mixed vinyl, I like that I can still hook up external gear down the line. Controls are intuitive, and setup was painless. My personal pros: teaching features, included software, and overall value; cons are mostly cosmetic and minor feature limits.

Great controller — connects flawlessly to laptop
This controller won’t play tracks by itself but pairs with a laptop without fuss. It feels well made, though parts are plastic. Overall a very worthwhile purchase.

Plays nicely through Edifier bookshelf monitors
Great starter unit if you already know basic rhythm. I had a tiny issue at first — audio was muted until I raised the channel fader — but once I remembered that the fader controls output everything flowed. Streaming from TIDAL worked fine and Serato integrated seamlessly. Perfect for learning set transitions and getting comfortable with two-deck mixes.

The hardware feels comfortable and the unit makes practicing pleasant as I work toward djing more seriously.
