Mackie Thump15v4 15" Powered Loudspeaker — 1400W, Bluetooth, DSP

Product description

The Thump15v4 ships as a self-contained powered loudspeaker built around a 15-inch driver and a dedicated high-frequency compression driver. It delivers up to 1400 watts peak power into a single 15" enclosure finished in black and fitted with both a pole-mount socket and M10 fly points for suspended installs.

Central to the design is the SoundCheck DSP suite: one-touch sound check voicings tailor the speaker for Music, Speech, Monitor (Wedge) or a flat response for system use. Onboard features include Music Ducking to prioritize spoken sources, a Feedback Eliminator and an Outdoor mode that compensates for open-air deployments. A small built-in mixer lets you connect microphones and line sources directly.

Wireless connectivity arrives via Bluetooth for streaming and for wirelessly linking two speakers, while the companion app provides remote access to voicings, level and networked settings. The package is intended for live performers and DJs who need a powerful, flexible single-box PA or stage monitor with pro-oriented mounting and rigging points.

Pros

  • Powerful 1400W peak output
  • Handy DSP voicings and feedback elimination
  • Bluetooth streaming and app control

Cons

  • Relatively heavy to transport
  • Protective cover or cart recommended
  • Large footprint for small spaces

VerdictThe Thump15v4 is a heavy-hitting, versatile 15" powered loudspeaker that covers solo acoustic sets, full-band gigs and DJ duties with ease. Its SoundCheck DSP presets (Music, Speech, Monitor/Wedge, Outdoor) and tools like Music Ducking and Feedback Eliminator simplify live sound, while Bluetooth streaming and app-based controls make quick adjustments effortless. Expect room-filling output, clear h

    A monitor that excels

I've used this as a foldback and it over-delivers: several voicing modes make a real difference, the feedback control helps on stage, and it returns loud, clear sound that helps me play better. App control is a convenient extra and the overall build feels appropriate for heavy use.

    Remarkable single-speaker performance

Fantastic unit. I bought one for a breakout area at a wedding and was stunned by how much coverage and clarity a single cabinet produced. Build feels solid; I would add a cover for transit. Definitely more than enough for small- to mid-size rooms.
