Product description
What’s included: a pair of adjustable coupler locking pins supplied keyed alike so both units open with the same key. Each pin has a 1/4" diameter shaft and four selectable length settings — 0.9", 1.4", 1.9" and 2.9" — to accommodate different coupler depths.
Construction and finish: manufactured from high-strength steel for increased resistance to bending and cutting. The body is finished in a bright, durable silver tone to remain visible and corrosion-resistant in outdoor conditions.
Compatibility and sizing: designed to work with pin-style couplers that accept 1/2" up to 3" openings. The multiple length settings let a single pin secure several trailers without swapping hardware.
How it’s used: slide the 1/4" pin through the coupler’s latch or pin hole and set the shaft to the required length, then lock in place with the key. Its purpose is to prevent removal of the coupler pin and serve as a visible deterrent to opportunistic thieves.
Support: the product is sold with a 120-day warranty and access to responsive customer support. If you have fit or function concerns, contact customer service for assistance.
Pros
- Four selectable shaft lengths for different couplers
- Sturdy high-strength steel construction
- Two locks keyed alike for convenience
Cons
- Some fit issues reported on 3" couplers
- Occasional jamming reported by users
- Not impervious to determined theft or cutting tools
VerdictA versatile, steel trailer coupler lock with four selectable lengths and keyed-alike convenience. It provides a useful passive theft deterrent for a variety of trailers, but a few users report fit and jamming problems on some couplers. Good value for general use, but check fit on larger 3" couplers and be aware it won’t stop a determined thief.

Secured rental
Locked the U-Haul rental trailer to my vehicle without issue during travel.

Simple theft deterrent
An inexpensive, easy-to-use deterrent. I’ve seen trailers stolen after a day out; if this stops that, it’s worthwhile.

STOAK 3/5
Jammed and fragile
Mine became stuck after towing and could not be removed. I’ve had similar problems with some 1/4" pins before and ended up using smaller bolts with a nut. The pin sheared when struck and I had to destroy it to free the trailer. It won’t stop a determined thief and would be better if removal didn’t require a key.

Coach A 1/5
Poor fit on some 3" couplers; support unreliable
On a 3" coupler the spacing isn’t flush and a gap remains once locked, which could allow cutting tools to reach the shaft. It’s a deterrent at low cost, but I chose not to hassle with returns. I sent photos to the seller who initially agreed to refund, but the reimbursement never came through. Given the fit problems and the slow response, I do not recommend it.

Uncomplicated and reliable
It’s a basic device but performs well in my experience.
