Downspout Outlet Guard & Leaf Diverter — 2x3 / 3x4 Type-A

Product description

Fits 2" x 3" and 3" x 4" Type-A downspouts: Designed to mate with common Type-A gutter outlets, this connector adapts directly to those two standard sizes to maintain proper water flow.

Leaf-and-debris outlet screen: The unit features a drop outlet guard that prevents leaves and large debris from entering the downspout while still allowing water to pass through the outlet freely.

Durable PVC construction: Molded from reinforced PVC, the extension is made to withstand outdoor exposure and resist deformation. The material offers impact resistance and long-term durability.

Quick, straightforward installation: Built for a fast fit on compatible downspouts; most users can install it with minimal time and equipment. The cover is serviceable—screens open for clearing trapped leaves and other detritus.

Pros

  • Fits 2x3 and 3x4 Type-A downspouts
  • Heavy-duty PVC construction
  • Easy to install and service

Cons

  • Can develop surface stains
  • Some installs easier with a drill
  • May not stop very fine debris

VerdictThis PVC downspout outlet guard effectively blocks leaves and larger debris while directing water away from the foundation. It fits standard 2x3 and 3x4 Type-A downspouts, installs rapidly (a drill speeds the job), and is simple to service. Build quality is solid, and it performs as described, though you may see surface discoloration over time and some installations are easier with basic tools. Ov

  1. Latashia Cochran 4/5

    Fast to install

Very quick fit — I put five in place in about five minutes. Using a drill made it even faster. Will report back after a rain.

  2. rebecca hooper 5/5

Easy to clear but shows stains

The access screen opens easily to remove leaves, but it’s been leaving black marks that are tough to remove.

  3. J.B. 5/5

    Keeps animals out

Worked exactly as expected and installation was simple.

  4. Bunny 5/5

    Worth the purchase

Solid construction, installs without fuss, and the screen is simple to clear. Delivery matched the timeframe. Not identical to common alternatives, but it performs well.

  5. Paul B 5/5

    Well made

Good quality and straightforward to attach to the downspout.

  6. C. Warren 5/5

    Directs water neatly

I like how it redirects runoff and keeps water flowing away. Sturdy feel and it looks clean once installed.
