Product description
What’s included and basic function
The product is a G113-style high/low truck handball head converted to USB. The knob incorporates two manual switches (range and splitter) to let you select high/low and split gears, enabling up to 18 logical gear positions in-game. Despite the printed gear pattern showing 13 gears, the hardware supports the splitter/range combination used in heavy-truck transmissions.
Materials and construction
The top housing is a metal-feel shifter head mated to an internal sleeve and a press-fit substructure. Inside the knob is a plastic sleeve that creates a tight friction fit on compatible shafts. Some units use a molded/printed substructure beneath the outer shell. An independent USB cable is fixed to the base to communicate button presses to the PC.
Compatibility and sizes
Made to work with modified Logitech G25, G27, G29 and G920 H-type shifters and many aftermarket 6-speed shafts. The press-fit sleeve is intended to slide over common shifter shafts, but tight tolerances mean some shafts require minor reaming or padding for a snug, non-rotating fit. The product recognizes the two switches as separate inputs on Windows, and it is designed for PC use only.
Installation and software setup
Installation is plug-and-play via the supplied USB cable. Fit the knob onto your shifter shaft (press-fit over the internal sleeve); if it rotates or feels loose, you can add tape or carefully enlarge the sleeve for a better fit. In Euro Truck Simulator 2 / American Truck Simulator enable the splitter/range mode under Options → Controls: check the option to use the gear splitter/switch and assign Gear Switch 1 and Gear Switch 2 to the corresponding buttons. If the blue range/splitter switch does not register, consult the troubleshooting file provided with the product listing for wiring or mapping tips.
Notes on durability and common issues
Users report a wide range of build outcomes — from very solid, truck-like heads to units with rough edges, fragile wiring at the USB entry, or printed substructures that need modification. Because the cable exits the base at a right angle, protecting the USB joint from strain is recommended to avoid fatigue over extended use.
Pros
- Adds realistic truck shifting with dual splitter switches
- Plug-and-play USB for Windows with easy in-game mapping
- Press-fit sleeve provides secure, non-rotating mount when fitted
Cons
- Inconsistent manufacturing quality and finishing
- May require minor modification to fit some shifters
- USB cable exit can be prone to strain without reinforcement
VerdictThis USB-converted truck shift knob delivers convincing tactile feedback and convenient dual-switch gear splitting for sim truckers on Windows PCs. It installs by pressing onto the shifter shaft and presents two dedicated switches that let you map high/low and splitter functions in ETS2/ATS. Build quality varies: many units feel solid and genuine, but others show rough finishing, tight fits that n

Arrived quickly and intact
Satisfied — product arrived in good condition and shipped fast.

Needed reaming to fit my Logitech G series
Lower substructure looked 3D-printed and the factory hole was slightly undersized for my shifter. No anti-rotation tab or top screw hole. I used a 10mm reamer to enlarge the sleeve and now it press-fits well, but many users won’t want to modify it.

Good idea but weak build
Concept is great but manufacturing seemed poor. Edges felt unfinished and it failed after a couple of days of use, though it performed fine while it lasted.

Works on 2.0 USB and fits MOZA after threading
Doesn’t work reliably on USB 3.0 ports but runs fine on USB 2.0. Fitted to a MOZA shifter after cutting M12x1.5 threads into the shaft and now holds well.

Feels right in ATS
Shifts like my real truck in American Truck Simulator. In ETS it sometimes needs an extra hit on range and splitter. Easy to configure in both games.

Adds realism across sims, fits G920 with minor tweaks
Used it in American Truck Simulator and a few other driving sims. Plug-and-play via USB and easy to map. The knob feels solid and heavy, and the button layout works well for engine brakes or splitters. It did slide a bit during aggressive shifting until I wrapped the shaft, after which it stayed put.

Broke quickly and poorly finished
Scratched on arrival, labeling in a foreign language, the screw hole didn’t match my shaft, and the USB cable was loose and required zip-tying. The cable strain point failed after about 10 hours and the faux-leather top started to peel.

Defective on arrival
My PC flagged an error when connected. On inspection the cable was glued at the base and the unit looked poorly assembled. I requested a refund.

Solid, authentic feel — works as intended
Veteran driver here: I bought this for my Logitech G920 shifter. It presses onto the shaft with an internal plastic sleeve for a firm fit and doesn’t spin easily. Windows 10 sees the lever switches as separate buttons; ATS may list them oddly but the ranges function correctly in game. Overall quality felt good and authentic.

Actual truck knob converted to USB
This appears to be a real truck shifter head adapted to USB. The splitter is a bit stiff initially; the blue range lever is for high/low selection and won’t click like a button. It fit snugly on my shaft without screws.

Not premium quality but improves driving
Finish isn’t impressive and the splitter is stiff with no tactile click, plus the printed gear diagram looks odd. Still, mapping it in ATS beats using steering-wheel buttons for realism, though value feels low.

Pricey but worthwhile
A bit expensive compared with other accessories, yet it adds meaningful immersion and I’m happy with the purchase.
