Product description
This themed Jenga set pairs the classic vertical stacking challenge with characters and mechanics inspired by the Super Mario universe. The box includes a full set of stackable building blocks (molded plastic with printed icons), a spinner to determine moves, character pegs and cards for Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad, a supply of collectible coin tokens, and a rules sheet explaining the special brick effects and scoring.
The blocks are plastic rather than wood and feature various markings that trigger in-game effects depending on the character you choose. On a turn a player spins to see how many blocks to remove or how many levels their character must climb; some bricks yield coins, extra movement, or opportunities to steal from opponents. As blocks are removed and stacked on top, each player's peg moves up or opponents’ pegs can be pushed down. If the tower collapses during your turn, you lose coins and the round ends.
Designed for family play and recommended for ages 8 and older, the game supports multiple players competing to climb the tower and ultimately face Bowser. It’s easy to set up and can be played as a Mario-themed experience or repurposed for regular block-stacking sessions, offering replayable sessions with extra rules-driven variety.
Pros
- Engaging character-driven gameplay
- Durable molded plastic pieces with printed icons
- Spinner adds variety and accessible family fun
Cons
- Plastic blocks won't satisfy wood purists
- Additional rules add complexity for newcomers
- Coin count can feel limited in larger groups
VerdictThis edition blends familiar Jenga tension with character-based goals and a spinner-driven set of actions. The plastic, printed bricks let designers add special effects and icons that change gameplay, creating a more varied, family-focused experience. Players who like tactical risk and light competitive interaction will enjoy this; purists who prefer wooden pieces and a simpler ruleset may prefer

Durable and replayable
Simple to learn and set up. We've had it for a few years and the kids still play regularly; it also doubles for classic Jenga. No parts have broken, so quality seems reliable.

Recommended — a different but solid choice
An enjoyable variation with good materials. Offers a fresh twist without feeling cheaply made.

A playful spin on classic Jenga
It refreshes the old formula by adding actions and variables you must watch simultaneously. I prefer the traditional wooden set, but this edition is entertaining despite the plastic components.

Fun — similar to regular Jenga with Mario flair
Basically the same idea as original Jenga but with plastic blocks and Mario characters you move depending on your spinner result. Adds charm and a few extra rules. Excellent overall.

Entertaining but check the token supply
The gameplay is engaging, yet when four people play there don’t seem to be enough coin tokens for everyone.

Great intro for little players
Excellent way to introduce young children to tabletop games. My four-year-old will play it for hours.

Pulls a video-game kid into tabletop play
My son usually ignores board games but enjoys this one because of the Mario theme. The plastic blocks have a satisfying weight and slide well, so gameplay feels smooth. A good family option.

A familiar game gets a Mario-themed makeover
Bought this as a holiday surprise and it added a fun layer to classic Jenga. The bricks are plastic with different symbols and some special pieces that activate effects depending on your chosen character. Each player picks Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Toad and tries to climb past Bowser by removing and stacking blocks. Rules are straightforward, and the added character goals made it enjoyable for the whole family. Glad we tried it.

So much fun for family game night
Everyone in the household enjoys playing together. Pieces are light, so even when the tower falls it’s safe for kids.

Engaging for adults and kids together
Not just pulling and stacking: you advance your character, collect coins, and can challenge Bowser. The spinner sets how many blocks to remove and how many levels to climb, and some bricks grant coins, extra moves, or stealing actions that vary by character. We stopped playing UNO and cards for a while and now enjoy family time with this game.

Fun despite minor issues with rules and packaging
The rules can be a bit involved and this copy came with English-only instructions due to import, which some players might notice. The blocks look great, though the box arrived a little scuffed from shipping.
