This is the most delicious No-Cook Perfect Banana Pudding you will ever eat. Whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk, and instant pudding combine to create a light, creamy dessert full of flavor. It’s quick, simple, and might just replace the old-fashioned cooked version in your recipe box.

As a child I remember my mom making classic banana pudding with a thick, homemade cooked custard and meringue on top. It was rich and comforting. When I first tried this no-cook version a few years ago I expected it to be inferior—but I was wrong. This recipe is fresh, airy, and wonderfully flavorful.
This no-cook banana pudding is light, creamy, and incredibly easy. Nothing is cooked, there’s no required meringue unless you want to add one, and the texture is delightfully different from traditional cooked puddings. Many people prefer this lighter style.
Why is this No-Cook Perfect Banana Pudding so good?

- Start by whipping fresh heavy cream to stiff peaks.
- Combine instant pudding mix with milk, sweetened condensed milk, and sour cream.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture for a light, airy texture.
The whipped cream keeps the pudding light, while the instant pudding mix adds classic flavor. Sweetened condensed milk brings richness and sweetness that ties everything together. The result is creamy, yet not as heavy as cooked custard.

To finish, layer vanilla wafers and freshly sliced bananas with the pudding mixture for a traditional parfait-style presentation.

Description
This creamy, light banana pudding is an ideal summer dessert. It requires no cooking, comes together quickly, and combines whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk, and instant pudding for a delightful balance of texture and flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 small box instant vanilla or banana pudding
- 1 1/2 cups 2% milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- Vanilla wafers, as many as you prefer
- 5 large ripe bananas
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream in the bowl of a stand mixer until stiff peaks form. Chill the whipped cream while you prepare the other ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix, milk, sweetened condensed milk, and sour cream. Mix on medium speed for about two minutes until light and combined—the mixture will be loose, not thick.
- Fold the chilled whipped cream into the pudding mixture gently with a large spatula or spoon. Mix only until combined to preserve the airy texture.
- Transfer the mixture to a 2-quart dessert dish or trifle bowl. If layering, arrange vanilla wafers, then pudding, then banana slices. Repeat the layers and finish with a layer of pudding that covers the bananas.
- Arrange additional vanilla wafers on top for decoration if desired.
- Refrigerate the pudding for at least 1 hour to allow it to set and thicken. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
- The pudding will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
