Product description
What you get: a surface-mount recessed power grommet designed for a 3-inch desk hole, an integrated outlet module with four AC receptacles, four USB ports (two USB-C, two USB-A), a threaded locking collar for mounting, and a 6 ft 16 AWG flat plug power cord.
Construction and specs: The housing is molded from fire-resistant plastic and includes a 900J surge suppressor for added protection. The unit is rated 125V / 12A for a 1500W maximum AC load. The USB subsystem supports USB Power Delivery up to 65W on the USB-C ports and is compatible with PD 3.0, QC3.0, and PPS charging standards.
Installation: It is made to fit into a 3-inch grommet hole. To install, pass the power cable through the cutout, insert the main body into the opening, then thread and tighten the locking collar from beneath until the collar pulls the assembly snug against the desktop. It works in new or existing desk apertures and is suitable for surface-mount applications that want a nearly flush look.
Usage: The top face provides easy access to two AC outlets and four USB ports for phones, tablets, earbuds, and smaller devices; additional AC receptacles sit under the top surface for larger plugs or longer-term connections. The balanced mix of AC and USB makes it a convenient central charging point for a workstation or countertop.
Placement ideas and reliability: Intended for desks, podiums, L-shaped workstations, bedside tables, and other furniture where a low-profile power solution is desired. The unit’s durable build and flat extension cord help keep connections hidden and organized while offering surge protection for connected devices.
Pros
- Flush, organized power and USB access
- Supports 65W USB-C PD and modern charging standards
- Includes 6 ft flat 16 AWG cord and surge protection
Cons
- May require slight hole enlargement on some surfaces
- USB ports have had isolated early-failure reports
- Mounting depth can limit use in very thick desktops
VerdictThis recessed desk grommet packs multiple outlet types into a slim, surface-mounted unit that keeps adapters off your work surface. It supports modern fast-charging protocols and delivers a useful 1500W AC capacity, but watch fit tolerances and monitor long-term USB reliability. Good for desks, side tables, and podiums that accept a 3" grommet.

Low profile and charges quickly
Sits nearly level with my desk and handles fast charging for several devices. Very happy with the charging performance and the tidy look.

USB ports failed after two months
Worked fine at first for in-desk charging, but the USB sockets stopped working within about eight weeks. Disappointing since USB was my main reason for buying it.

Doesn't sit in a true 3" hole
Looks like a solid unit, but it won't fit a precise 3" opening. I had to enlarge the hole slightly with a rasp to get a proper fit.

Solid build and versatile outputs
Heavier than I expected in a good way — feels sturdy, thick cord, and the plastic doesn't seem cheap. Fast charging works well and installation is simple with the right hole saw. Overall a practical power solution for a desk.

Simple and effective
Dropped into the hole easily and performs as advertised. No surprises — does the job.

Worth adding to any workstation
Installed cleanly in my computer desk with a 3" hole saw. I recommend using painter’s tape on the cut line to reduce chipping — bottom edge had only minor tear-out that the base covered.

Feature-rich and straightforward install
Chose this 1500W grommet for the mix of outlets: two AC on top, two below, two USB-A and two USB-C with up to 65W PD. Mounting is simple: slide into a 3" hole, thread the locking collar up the cord and tighten. It fits best with a tabletop thickness under about 2" so the collar can clamp down properly.

Handy for desks with pre-cut holes
I used this with an adjustable desk that had pre-cut ports. The front cutouts fit well but the rear ones were too small unless enlarged. Installation was easy where the 3" hole already existed. Note the label: you only get full 65W into one port at a time, so plan your laptop charging accordingly.
