Product description
What you get: a single Jase Robertson Pro Series duck call ready for field use. The unit arrives assembled and designed for one-handed operation, making it suitable for decoy lines, blinds or mobile setups.
Materials and build: The call body is crafted from burnt hedge wood for a classic look and rugged feel. It houses a clear poly insert and is accented with a gold anodized aluminum band. The assembly uses a friction-fit design to hold components in place and the patented riveted double-reed construction for repeatable tone production.
Sound and performance: Tuned to emulate a mallard hen, the call produces a bright, piercing high end for long-distance calling as well as a soft, raspy low end for finishing and close work. Double-reed technology provides the ability to run realistic yelps, feeds and plays with consistent response.
Use and care: Easy to blow, this call is intended for both beginners and experienced hunters. Because the reeds are thin for responsiveness, allow the call to be dry and at least hand-warm in very cold conditions to prevent reed adhesion. The durable wood and metal trim are built to withstand repeated seasonal use when cared for properly.
Pros
- Realistic mallard hen tones
- Effortless to blow for beginners
- Durable wood construction with metal trim
Cons
- Reeds can stick in very cold or wet conditions
- Finish may look slightly different than product photos
- Higher-volume notes may be too loud for very close birds
VerdictThis pro-series mouth call gives hunters a realistic mallard hen sound with minimal effort. Its friction-fit construction and patented riveted double reed provide reliable performance for open-water yelps, soft low finishes and feeding or play notes. Crafted from burnt hedge wood with a clear poly insert and a gold-anodized aluminum band, it holds up across seasons and is approachable for newcomer

Wood vs acrylic — tone differences
My wood model gives a smoother working sound while an acrylic example I tried had a rowdier edge for range. Both attract birds, just different character.

Versatile, easy to run, highly effective
Works great for long-range attention yelps and quiet finishes for close birds. I’ve even coaxed geese with creative hand positioning. It’s excellent for feeding and playing calls, but in very cold weather the thin reeds can stick together; keep it dry and warmed before use. Solid pick for new callers.
