Product description
What’s included
You receive one polyethylene drag sled and two lengths of rope to attach and tow the load. The ropes thread through the mesh/eyelet system so you can cinch and secure cargo without extra tools.
Materials and construction
The body is molded from rugged, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a reinforced, low-friction underside for efficient gliding over snow and ice. The material is engineered to resist cold-weather brittleness and to absorb shock from rough ground. Reinforced eyelets are set around the perimeter for lashing gear and routing the supplied ropes.
Size and thickness
The sheet is substantial — roughly a quarter-inch thick — giving a balance of flexibility and toughness. Its broad, flat profile provides a large contact area to spread weight and reduce sinkage in soft snow.
How it’s used
Thread the rope through the eyelet mesh and secure it to suit the size and shape of your load; no additional tools are required. It can be pulled by hand, by a dog team, or hitched to a snowmobile or ATV. Use it for dragging deer out of the woods, hauling ice-fishing gear and fish off the lake, moving firewood, or transporting tools and supplies across lawns, mud, or frozen trails.
Performance in winter conditions
The smooth base minimizes friction on packed snow and ice, making long hauls less strenuous. The flexible construction helps when traversing uneven terrain and allows the sled to conform slightly to obstacles rather than crack.
Care and stowage
After use you can wipe it clean, fold or roll it for compact stowage, and keep it in a dry spot until the next trip. Regularly inspect the attachment points and ropes for wear if you frequently haul abrasive or heavy loads.
Versatility
This sled functions as a hunting drag, utility hauler, and general-purpose winter sled for homeowners, outdoor workers, and expedition groups. Its simple design makes field repairs and adjustments straightforward.
Pros
- Durable HDPE construction that glides on snow
- Includes two ropes and reinforced eyelets for secure lashing
- Lightweight and rolls or folds for compact stowage
Cons
- Can crack under very heavy or repeated impact loads
- No rigid frame — not ideal for extremely heavy, concentrated loads
- Some buyers expect a molded coffin-style sled rather than a flat sheet
VerdictThis heavy-duty deer drag sled is a simple, functional hauling tool: a thick HDPE sheet with reinforced eyelets and a slick base that reduces drag over snow and ice. It’s lightweight to carry when empty, easy to rig with the supplied ropes, and adaptable to multiple pull methods — by hand, team, dog, or motorized tow. Performance depends on expectations: it excels as a versatile gear hauler and fi

Matches the description
Exactly what was shown: a flat polyethylene sheet with eyelets. Does the simple hauling job I bought it for.

Stood up to Scout abuse
Understand that this is essentially a thick industrial plastic sheet with eyelets — about a quarter-inch thick — and its flexibility is useful. I bought one for a Boy Scout Klondike event and we dragged gear roughly half a mile over fresh snow, gravel and packed ice. We made many trips while snowshoeing and it showed no cracking or splitting. The ability to fold and pack it away was also handy, and the eyelets made securing cargo straightforward.

Failed too quickly
Two of these cracked and separated before we even reached the ice for fishing. They fell apart under normal use.

Too flimsy for heavy game
I mistook the listing for a rigid sled. It arrived as a rolled-up flat sheet — easy to carry, but too flexible to hold a big deer securely. The package also arrived without a separate drag rope; the supplied ropes were thin for my needs.

Tough and multi-use
Hauls heavy loads of firewood and glides easily across snow. Cleans up fast after hauling fish from the lake. More rugged than cheaper options.
