Product description
Supported SSDs: This enclosure accepts M.2 NVMe drives with M and M+B key configurations. It accommodates the common lengths 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. It does not support M.2 SATA drives.
Performance: The case implements USB 3.2 Gen 2 signaling and supports UASP, enabling theoretical transfer rates up to 10Gbps. Actual throughput depends on the SSD and host, but the interface provides a high-bandwidth connection for cloning, backups, and large file transfers.
Construction and cooling: The housing is machined metal and uses a sandwich-style lid that presses a thermal pad against the drive for improved thermal contact. This layout allows tool-free installation and helps the SSD shed heat to the enclosure during sustained transfers.
Portability and accessories: The compact, pocketable body ships with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a detachable USB-A adapter, allowing connection to modern USB-C hosts as well as older USB-A ports without extra accessories.
Compatibility and setup: Broadly compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux. New SSDs must be initialized in the host OS before they will appear. Firmware updates and technical support are available from the manufacturer if needed.
Pros
- Tool-free sandwich design for quick drive swaps
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 with UASP support for high throughput
- Compact metal body that aids heat dissipation
Cons
- Does not support M.2 SATA modules
- Smaller SSDs rely on a rubber plug that can feel fiddly
- Cable quality may limit peak speeds in some cases
VerdictThis aluminum-bodied M.2 NVMe enclosure delivers solid transfer rates and convenient, tool-free swaps for a variety of NVMe sizes (2230–2280). The sandwich design helps press the thermal pad into good contact for improved heat spread, and the included USB-C cable plus A adapter makes it travel-friendly. Expect excellent compatibility across Windows, macOS and Linux; just remember to initialize bra

Recovered data easily
Worked flawlessly to recover files from my original drive. Installation was simple, though I had to trim a small metal tab on the old drive to fit.

Works well but fiddly to open
The enclosure secures my NVMe fine and the cable works as expected. My only gripe is the opening mechanism, which can be awkward to operate at times.

Well built and practical
Solid construction with the included thermal strip and a plug for 2230 drives. The extra USB adapter cable is useful. I got fast transfers and cloned a Windows ISO quickly—installation was straightforward.

Good value for occasional cloning (French)
Bought this to clone NVMe drives at work. It accepts all standard NVMe sizes and the sandwich-style, screw-free setup is very quick. The supplied cable wasn’t the highest quality, though for occasional use it was fine.

Great for Linux installs from external NVMe
Sturdy aluminum reader that’s perfect for reformatting and installing Linux on NVMe drives. Using it with GParted on another machine helped avoid Windows RST issues when preparing drives.

Simple and effective (Turkish)
Nice product, easy to assemble. Turned my old SSD into a USB drive.

Outstanding heat dissipation and design (Spanish)
Chose this because its top-down lid presses the thermal pad directly onto the SSD, ensuring solid contact with the metal case for better heat spread. After testing, cooling and build quality exceeded expectations.

Reliable performer with LED and good cooling
I own two of these enclosures and both work reliably with a 480GB and a 1TB NVMe. The activity LED is handy. I added a thin extra thermal pad to improve contact on thinner sticks, after which temperatures stayed low during long transfers. Assembly and heat dissipation are both excellent.

Smart design, performs like name brands
I own several enclosures and this one matches them in speed and build quality. It gets warm under heavy writes, which means it’s transferring heat away from the drive as intended.
