Product description
This deluxe accessory kit contains three distinct player train sets presented in a durable metal storage tin. Inside are 48 molded plastic train cars, hand-painted in three motifs—Marquis (white), Sakura (purple), and Odyssey (orange)—plus matching wooden score markers to track points on the scoring track.
Each car is sized to fit the standard Ticket to Ride boards rather than the oversized anniversary pieces, giving compatibility with the base game and most expansion maps. The included total of 48 trains provides a few extras beyond a 45-train standard set, so you can cover one color per player for up to three players with spare pieces.
Components are primarily molded plastic with painted finishes; the score counters are wooden chips. They slide and sit on routes like the originals, but the Odyssey monorails have a taller, narrower profile and rely on slim posts to stand—this design makes them more likely to tip with table bumps or vibrations.
Use the pieces as direct replacements for factory trains in regular play, or bring them out to dress up expansion sessions. The metal tin keeps all components organized for transport and storage. Note that only three colors are included, so these sets won’t replace a full five-player complement without mixing with the game’s original trains. Also, the odd-shaped monorails are not suitable for systems that require ship or combined train/boat tokens.
Pros
- High level of visual detail and paintwork
- Fits standard boards and includes spare pieces
- Sturdy metal tin for storage and transport
Cons
- Only three player colors included, not a full five-set replacement
- Odyssey orange monorails are top-heavy and can tip over
- Not compatible with mixed train/ship game components
VerdictThese deluxe train pieces deliver a clear visual and tactile upgrade for Ticket to Ride and similar route-building games. You get three complete color sets housed in a durable metal tin, 48 painted plastic cars, and matching wooden score markers sized to fit standard boards. Production and detailing are high quality, and two of the three styles stand and handle well. However, the Odyssey orange mo

Lovely upgrade pieces
Charming train figures that make Ticket to Ride sessions more enjoyable. They fit the routes perfectly and feel satisfying to handle.

Good alternative but with caveats
Colors show up clearly on the map and help colorblind players more than the stock trains. Downsides: some pieces (the Odyssey ones) are laid on their sides because their posts don’t support the weight, only three colors are included, and they can’t be used for Rails & Sails.

Great look, questionable practicality
A stylish option for anyone who enjoys Ticket to Ride expansions. Cars are sized for standard boards, and the tins are neat — but those Odyssey monorails may not survive regular gameplay without toppling.

Very detailed and well packaged
Beautiful upgrade with three distinct styles tucked in a metal tin. Includes a matching point counter. The orange pieces are a little fussy to stand, but overall they’re the right size and there are 48 trains, giving a couple extras for expansions.

Premium feel, personal favorites claimed
Each of us grabbed a personal set for game nights — they look great on the board and are pleasant to hold. I probably wouldn’t have bought them at full cost just for decoration, but frequent players will appreciate the premium components.

Two strong sets, one troublesome
Marquis and Sakura trains are excellent, but the Orange Odyssey pieces fall over easily. Quality and detail are high, yet the instability of one color keeps the set from being fully successful.

Monkey 4/5
Attractive set but not a full replacement
Nice-looking trains in three sets rather than the game’s five. Made of molded plastic with wooden score chips and consistent hand-painted finishes. If it included all colors it would be a complete swap, but as-is it only covers three players.

You All Meet In A Tavern 3/5
Stunning detail, but a major practical flaw
The sculpting and paint are excellent, but the Odyssey monorails are badly balanced. A slight table nudge will topple them—too narrow and top-heavy to remain upright through normal play.
