Product description
Includes a single pair of stainless steel nose pliers fitted with a 13.8 inch (approximately) chain and a small fixing clip on the upper handle to secure the chain while working.
The pliers feature a thickened steel ring and reinforced construction for stronger, steadier pull force. The design incorporates an automatic lock so the operator does not need to manually latch the tool, simplifying use during routine handling or veterinary procedures.
Tips are formed into smooth, spherical ends to minimize skin abrasion and reduce the chance of damage to the nasal tissue. The jaws open to a relatively wide span, suitable across a range of smaller beef and dairy animals but limited for very large adults.
All components are stainless steel with a polished, burr-free finish to resist corrosion and wear. The materials and build focus on durability and ease of cleaning to hold up to farm and ranch conditions.
Use by fitting the rounded ends into the nasal septum and engaging the automatic lock, with the chain available for tethering or moderate restraint. The clip on the handle allows the chain to be kept out of the way when not in use or to hold it at a set length during handling.
Pros
- Durable stainless steel construction
- Automatic locking for hands-free hold
- Includes 13.8 in chain with handle clip
Cons
- Jaw opening may be too small for large bulls
- Not ideal for mature, heavy cows
- Limited adjustability for very large heads
VerdictA sturdy stainless-steel nose gripping tool with an integrated 13.8-inch chain and handle clip that speeds handling and restraint. The automatic-locking mechanism and rounded tips help limit tissue abrasion, making it suited to young stock and smaller animals. Note that the jaw opening is limited for very large bulls and mature cows, so it's most practical for calves, heifers and small steers.

Keeps a bull in line
My bull hated it but I appreciated it — it keeps him under control, almost like training a large dog.

Good construction, too small for big cattle
Build quality is very solid, yet these are smaller than an older set I owned. The rounded ends work well, but the jaws won't open enough for mature bulls or big cows. Fine for heifers, small steers and calves. Disappointed when we could only use them on under 25% of a 200-head run.

Sized for calves
The pair I received is undersized — seems intended for calves rather than grown cattle.
