Product description
This gouache kit arrives in a sturdy hinged metal tin that doubles as a working palette. Inside you’ll find 14 removable full-size pans and a 10 ml tube of white gouache, plus a Number 8 round brush and five mixing areas built into the lid. The pans are large—roughly 1" x 1.25" x 0.25" each—and the box footprint measures about 28 x 11 x 2.5 cm, giving plenty of room for mixing.
The paints use natural binders and are formulated to feel velvety and smooth on the brush and paper. They rehydrate easily from the pans, blend cleanly without excessive streaking, and can be used more opaquely with less water or thinned to transparent washes. The pans are removable, so you can reconfigure the layout or replace individual cakes if desired.
Manufactured in Switzerland, the set is designed for portability and frequent use: the tin locks tight to prevent spills, the pans resist cracking when dried, and the included brush has a fine point suitable for detail work. Artists who require full pigment identification or guaranteed archival lightfastness should verify individual colors, but for everyday painting, studies and travel work this kit is reliable and user-friendly.
Pros
- Large, removable pans with rich, creamy texture
- Handy metal tin with five mixing wells and portable layout
- Easy to rehydrate and versatile from opaque to transparent
Cons
- Not all pigments list full artist-grade lightfastness
- Tin is somewhat bulky for very portable kits
- Included brush quality and fit can vary
VerdictA versatile, travel-friendly gouache kit that blends creamy, pigmented colors with a tactile velvet finish. It’s sized for both sketching and longer studio sessions, with generous pans and a functional metal case. Keep in mind this is a consumer/designer-grade set: great handling and portability, but those needing full pigment data or artist-grade lightfastness should look elsewhere.

Great for first-time gouache users
Tried gouache for the first time and it worked very well. Colors are vivid and have good opacity; I used a water brush for small work. I’d like a smaller travel tin with the same colors for miniatures, but overall it’s worth buying for regular use.

Impressive kit with thoughtful layout
Nice large red tin with five mixing wells and a swatch card. Each paint pan measures about 1" x 1.25" x 0.25"; there are 14 vivid colors plus a 10 ml white tube and a #8 round brush with a good point. Colors blend smoothly and cleanup is easy because these are water-soluble.

Dependable tin I keep replacing
Owned one tin for over ten years and recently bought another; the formula and colors remain mostly consistent. The only change I noticed was a color swap and slight differences in the brush. Still a favorite toolkit for regular use.

Vibrant, liftable, and generously sized pans
These paints are bright and retain their color when dry. They can behave like watercolor when thinned or provide opaque coverage when heavier—also liftable when needed. The set contains full-size pans, a decent brush and a white tube, so you get a lot of usable paint for regular practice.

Solid selection of painting supplies
Selected quality materials for drawing and painting, and this gouache set fits well with my other purchases. I’m happy with the pigment quality and how the kit performs during frequent use.

Pigmented and luminous — feels artisanal
I hesitated but am glad I got it. This palette offers a refined smoothness and vibrancy that I didn’t get from other godet sets. It’s higher quality than children’s palettes and feels suited to an artistic workflow rather than casual coloring. Would like to see more packaging options but the paints themselves are lively and clear.

Generous pans and lovely, velvety paint
I thought the pans might be tiny but they’re quite substantial. The paint is smooth and blends without muddying. The size makes it less suited for a compact plein-air kit, as it’s a bit bulky, but the amount of paint is excellent. One buyer received a brush with bent bristles and contacted customer support about replacement.

Friendly for beginners but requires technique
I delayed buying this set for years, then decided after using jelly gouache. Dry pans need a different approach than tube gouache—finding the right water ratio takes practice. Once dialed in, the kit is extremely convenient with excellent mixing space. The white tube feels different from other whites I own, but that’s a personal preference.

Clean, convenient pans that cover well
I wanted a cleaner alternative to jelly cups and liked the pan format. These reactivate quickly, are tidy to use and close up well. As a newcomer I worried about consistency and opacity but the pans cover reliably. Some users mention lightfastness concerns; I was told several shades have good permanence, though it’s not an artist-grade paint line.

Professional feel, not a children’s tempera
This was my second set and I prefer it over lower-grade kid-focused palettes. The texture and rewetting quality feel closer to professional gouache, with consistent hues and a pleasurable application. Small amounts of white greatly enhance opacity when needed.

High-quality designer gouache with a learning curve
Surprised by the accessible price for a branded set. It feels like a solid designer gouache that artists can use for studies and finished pieces, although pigment info and rigorous lightfast ratings aren’t provided. Expect a short adjustment period if you’re used to tubes, but the handling and finish are very pleasant.

Very versatile — creamy to transparent
First time using gouache and these were a delight. Creamy yet controllable, the box is designed for mixing and travel without carrying tubes. You can achieve opaque coverage with little water or watercolor-like washes with more. The tin measures roughly 28 x 11 x 2.5 cm.

A noticeable upgrade from cheaper sets
Very pleased overall. I’d tried a budget set before and this feels like a meaningful step up: creamy, pigmented colors and easy activation. The kit includes 14 pans plus a 10 ml white tube, a #8 round brush and five mixing wells. Pans dry fast in the tin but re-wet easily; each pan is removable for rearranging.
