ANDELI Auto‑Darkening Welding Helmet with LEDs and Digital Controls

Product description

Digital shade and control — The helmet includes an internal digital display and buttons to adjust shade (DIN 3 / 5–9 / 9–13), sensitivity and delay. Settings are changed with precision across five levels for both sensitivity and delay, so you can optimize the response for MIG, TIG, Stick welding, cutting and grinding.
Twin sensor LED lamps — Two built‑in forward lights with motion sensing let you toggle illumination and step between two brightness levels with a simple hand wave. The lights improve visibility when positioning parts or working in low ambient light.
Power system — The unit is driven by a 1000mAh rechargeable battery supported by solar assist. A separate 500mAh cell is reserved solely for the LED lamps so the arc shade remains powered during light use. Charging takes about 2.5–3 hours. Claimed runtimes are 1,300+ hours with the lens active and no LED illumination, or up to roughly 600 hours with the LEDs turned on.
Viewing area and optics — The total viewing footprint is 7.2" x 3.2": a 4.6" x 3.2" central lens flanked by two 1.3" x 2.5" side lenses. Optical rating is 1/1/1/1 for accurate color and clarity, and the auto‑darkening switch time is 1/30,000s. Four operating modes are provided: Weld, Grind, Cut and Lock.
Grind mode and shell construction — A one‑touch grinding function lets you switch to a passive state without removing the hood, speeding multi‑step tasks. The shell is molded from high‑strength nylon for improved impact, spatter and crack resistance compared with typical PP housings.
Sensors, switching and headgear — Four arc sensors provide reliable detection and fast darkening. The pivot‑style headgear uses six contact points to spread weight evenly, reducing pressure on the skull; breathable padding enhances comfort for extended wear.

Pros

  • Clear digital control for shade, sensitivity and delay
  • Wide true‑color viewing area with fast switching
  • Built‑in LED work lights with motion activation

Cons

  • LED lamp batteries need periodic charging
  • Side lenses are simple plastic inserts
  • Some users may find head fit less cushioned than premium gear

VerdictThis ANDELI helmet packs advanced features normally found on higher-end models: a clear digital interface for shade, sensitivity and delay settings, two front LED lamps with motion activation, long rechargeable runtime with solar help, and a wide true‑color viewing area. It delivers fast auto‑darkening, multiple operating modes and a sturdy nylon shell. The integrated LED lighting and compact batt

  1. Robert Bishop 5/5

Great upgrade after reading the instructions

Follow the manual and practice with the settings first. Once I learned the controls it became a very capable helmet I wish I'd bought sooner. Comfortable and easy to use; makes me consider getting a welder.

  2. JM Drilling Jerrald McNamara 5/5

Happy replacement for my old hood

Replaced a decades‑old helmet with a warped lens. That old oval spot made welding difficult even with readers. The new unit restores clear sight of the arc and I’m very pleased.

    Muy buena calidad

De muy buena calidad, la recomiendo. Vale la pena invertir en ella.

  4. winsmash 4/5

    Excellent viewing window

Only used a couple of times but it worked as expected. Lightweight with comfy, easy‑to‑adjust headgear and a generous field of view.

  5. David Adams 5/5

Ordered multiples — everyone prefers this one

Bought two helmets and both have been a hit. They work well, feel well made, have a large screen and are rechargeable. Very satisfied.

  6. Curtis Sanders 5/5

    Handy settings and light weight

I like the range of settings, the styling and how light it feels. Rechargeable battery is a convenient touch.

  7. Anylength 4/5

    Feature‑rich and easy to adjust

Hands‑on, the digital filter allows selection for welding, cutting or grinding and offers multiple darkness levels. Delay and sensitivity adjustments are available along with a quick grind mode. The two front lights can be switched on or off for extra visibility.

  8. Reviewer 5/5

Luxury features at an accessible level

As a retired DIY TIG user, I appreciate the technological jump over older hoods. The internal digital display is powerful but may feel complex to occasional users. For hobbyists performing TIG work, this helmet provides many premium features once seen only on much pricier models.

  9. fardin derakhshanian 4/5

    Head cover slips occasionally

The head cover doesn't always stay firmly in place during vigorous movement.

  10. Katrina 3/5

Good overall but LED run time short

Would rate higher if the LED battery lasted longer. It charges in about three hours but only runs the lamps roughly twenty minutes. Lens clarity and shade switching are excellent. Side views are basic plastic. Fit is average but acceptable.

  11. Josh featherstone 5/5

    Punches above its class

Performs like more expensive models in many ways. The three operating modes mean you can switch to grinding or cutting without hunting for safety glasses. One push and you're ready.

  12. Mark 5/5

Solid functions but cracked after weeks

Previously tried cheaper hoods that offered worse visibility. This one gave a great view and all functions worked as advertised. After months of daily use it cracked across the front; I reinforced it with fiberglass tape and epoxy and now keep it for emergencies.
