Withstood tough storms after minor changes
Happy to find a tall pole at an affordable point. After watching local monsoon storms, I disassembled it down to the buried section and added self-tapping metal screws at each joint. That noticeably reduced movement and noise. For footing I set the base in concrete inside a 5-gallon bucket and buried it; the pole handled subsequent storms much better.

Failed in a strong windstorm
The pole collapsed during the first major storm despite being installed per directions with a buried base in concrete. The first aluminum section above the ground folded over at the junction with the buried insert. I had two 3x5 flags flying and winds were estimated around 40 mph. My plan is to reinforce the interior with a short metal tube or structural foam and possibly add screws between sections to prevent the same break.

Simple to set up and reliable

Snapped in a severe thunderstorm
My pole lasted about a year before the base section broke off in a storm. I had seen some flaring in the bottom tube beforehand. Contractors had mounted the base in concrete. I suspect gusts over 70 mph during the event. I’ll be ordering a replacement and may add reinforcements.

Surprisingly solid kit
Good hardware package and everything needed was included. I was skeptical about the sectional design since my last pole was one solid piece, but the joints fit tightly. I was even able to shorten the height by leaving out a piece. Would recommend for the convenience.

Patriotic display worth the effort
We enjoy seeing the flag in our yard. We anchored the base in concrete and it has not shifted in a year. The included flag didn’t survive a harsh northeast winter, so we swapped in a locally made replacement and have had no further problems.

Sturdy 25ft pole that gets noticed
Fantastic unit. The build quality is impressive and, once assembled and set in concrete, the pole is very solid. Placed on a corner lot so it’s visible to passing traffic from both directions. We fly the flag around the clock and added a solar light that mounted just below the finial with no issues. Neighbors have complimented it often. After returning an inferior pole previously, this kit exceeded expectations. Easy to put together and works exactly as promised.
