Product description
Material and build: Crafted from brass, these lacing needles resist bending out of shape while offering a bit of flex under pressure. The surface is smooth and holds color well, helping the needle glide through leather and cord without catching.
Dimensions and capacity: Each needle measures 5.5 x 0.25 x 0.2 cm (about 2.2 x 0.1 x 0.07 inches). They are intended for use with flat leather cords no thicker than 3 mm in diameter, making them suitable for fine lacing and detail stitching rather than heavy-duty thonging.
What’s included: The package contains two single-prong brass lacing needles, so you have a spare for replacement or to share. Gross weight for the set is approximately 6.7 g.
Uses: These needles work well for assembling or repairing handbags, shoulder bags, wallets, shoes, leather jackets, baseball gloves and similar leathercraft projects. Their single-prong design is optimized for threading and locking flat cords into seams and edges.
How to use: Thread a flat leather cord (≤3 mm) through the eye or slot of the needle, then pass the needle through pre-punched holes or along edges to stitch components together. Their compact profile and smooth finish make quick, secure hand-lacing straightforward.
Package list: 2pcs single-prong brass leather lacing needles.
Pros
- Durable brass construction
- Compact size for precise lacing
- Comes as a two-piece set
Cons
- Too small for thicker or 1/4-inch laces
- Some flexibility may not suit heavy-duty jobs
- Limited to flat cords ≤3 mm
VerdictA handy, economical pair of brass single-prong needles for hand-lacing flat leather cords. They’re durable with a slightly springy feel that helps avoid breakage, and their small size makes precise stitching easy. Excellent for light to medium leather projects like wallets, handbags and garments, but not suited for bulky or 1/4-inch lacing. Comes as a pair so you have a spare for continued work.

Flexible and handy
Performs well. You can shape the tip for tighter stitches and, being brass, they flex slightly instead of snapping. Good to have extras.

Too small for my glove
Smaller than expected and not suitable for my glove work — won’t take 1/4-inch laces.
