Updated Handle Design
Each carving implement in this 12-piece kit has an ergonomically shaped beech wood handle finished for a smooth feel and sized to give added purchase for larger hands. The shape reduces hand fatigue so you can work longer and it’s appropriate for both adults and older children under supervision.
Starter Learning Resources
The set ships with a downloadable beginner eBook, step-by-step sharpening video and simple project tutorials geared to first-time carvers. Those resources cover basic tool care, sharpening technique, and projects in wood carving, linocut/printmaking and soapstone work to jump-start creativity.
Tool Specifications and What’s Included
You get twelve micro carving blades forged from high-carbon steel hardened to approximately HRC 62 for a fine edge. The kit also contains a leather strop charged with honing compound and a curved slip stone suitable for shaping and refining gouge bevels. The tools fit small, detailed work — stamp carving, relief work, small sculpture details and pumpkin or soapstone carving.
Versatile Gift for Makers
This collection is marketed as a flexible creative kit for wood carving, linoleum and stamp carving, soapstone carving and fine detail work on small projects. The large handles make it comfortable for longer sessions while the variety of tips supports a range of cuts and textures.
Company Support
The maker presents the tools as backed by a small American-based business, offering customer communication, complimentary learning materials and an active carving community to help buyers grow their skills.

Good quality for the range of tools provided
They look well made and give a lot of tip variety. Expect to sharpen before first use. My partner is very happy with them.

Could use sharper factory edges
Not outstanding but not terrible. The tools arrived with minimal sharpness and are tricky to sharpen due to their small profiles.

Perfect for linocut and deeper carving exploration
I bought these for stamp and linocut work and they perform perfectly for that. The online learning materials drew me into more wood carving pursuits, too. They ship sharpened but regular honing keeps them working well. Large handles give good torque; smaller handles might be handier for travel.

Nice compact set for detail work
These small carving knives are well made and match the quality of the company’s larger sets. They arrive a bit rough in finish but sharpen and shape easily. They perform reliably for small-detail carving; I’d buy them again.

Works for beginners but edge life could be improved
The set is okay for entry-level use, but the edges dull relatively fast and can bend on both soft and hard woods. I’m hoping the manufacturer revises bevel angles or steel quality. They’re useful in a shop setting for some tasks, though.

Great tools but sharpening stone arrived shattered
The carving tools are excellent and comfortable to use, offering many useful tip shapes. Unfortunately the curved honing stone was broken into pieces on arrival and there wasn’t a simple way to replace just that part. Packaging should protect the stone better. Otherwise the set is a handy little collection.

Solid choice for anyone moving from general woodworking to carving
I’ve done woodworking for years but only recently focused on carving. I owned earlier tools from this brand and liked the instructions and follow-up support they provide. After getting this 12-piece pen chisel set I had the right small cutters for delicate insets on a fish decoy I was carving — a couple of the tiny knives were ideal for shaping fin joints and fine details.

Well-equipped starter kit
Twelve gouges and chisels cover a good range for a beginner to progress. Handles suit larger hands, and edges are serviceable out of the box but need honing before heavy use. The strop, compound and curved stone make this a complete starter package.

Affordable beginner set that stacks up to older collections
These chisels are convenient for quick, portable projects and useful for comparing modern metallurgy to vintage blades. Expect to sharpen and touch up finishes — especially the V-tool tip which needs careful profiling. Once honed and polished, they carve very cleanly.
