Stay-wet palette system designed to keep acrylic and other water-based paints usable over hours or days (tray footprint 9.6 x 6.2 inches).
What’s included: one outer lid, one bottom tray, a removable middle mixing tray with 16 sloping wells and two corner water wells, four thicker grey absorbent sponges, a 100-sheet pad of double-sided silicone-coated palette paper, a brush rest and an elastic retention band.
Materials and function: the thicker grey sponges hold and release moisture evenly to maintain a damp surface beneath the palette paper, helping mixed paints remain workable and true to color. The palette sheets are silicone-treated on both sides to provide a smooth surface for blending and to resist fraying during mixing.
How to use: moisten the grey sponge and lay a palette sheet over it to create a wet palette. Use the middle tray for organized mixing in the 16 angled wells, or remove it and mix on the cover or bottom tray. The two corner wells can hold extra water for topping up. The lid keeps humidity trapped when closed, limiting drying between painting sessions.

Fantastic for starting miniature painting
Really glad I bought this. Acrylics stayed moist for days and I could top up small blobs rather than remix. It includes lots of spare mats and sheets and the mixing tray has ample separate pods. Easy to clean and stores brushes too. Metallic paints may separate overnight—give them a quick stir before use.

Comes with enough consumables to last a long time and keeps paint puddles usable for hours or days when closed. In very dry rooms the paper edges can curl as the sponge dries, so plan to add water periodically. Plenty of room for multiple colors—good addition to my mini painting kit.

Great size and layout for travel
Handy tray for travel or studio use—fits my travel needs perfectly. I’d like a way to stack the lid and base to create a second wet surface for parallel projects, but that’s just a personal workflow wish. Works very well for acrylics as is.

Really impressed with performance
I picked this up after tiring of replacing the sponge in my old palette. The Nicpro kit kept paints usable for nearly a week even in a dry, hot environment and arrived with plenty of spare sheets and extra sponges. The sponge material rinses clean easily and feels smoother than cheaper replacements. Note: the sponges are darker than pictured, closer to black. I don’t usually write reviews, so this one means I was very pleased.
