Product description
This kit includes four items: two blank rug-hooking mesh canvases (each about 50 x 50 cm / 19 x 19 inches) and two bent latch-hook tools with wooden handles — four pieces total to jump-start a project.
The canvas sheets are crafted from polyester, giving a flexible, grid-marked surface that helps you place stitches and design motifs. The latch-hook tools have wooden grips for comfort; the working parts and fittings are made from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and smoother hooking action.
Each mesh panel measures approximately 50 x 50 cm (19 x 19 inches) and the working/loop length of the tools is around 6.2 inches, providing enough coverage for small rugs, wall hangings or accent pieces. The square grid simplifies counting and transferring patterns.
Use the canvas to make rugs, coasters, locker-hooked pieces, pompom or sprinkle rugs, or combine hooked sections into framed wall art. It’s suitable for traditional latch hooking and also for hand-stitched tufting techniques.
For customization, sew or glue trims, beads, ribbons, lace or yarns onto the mesh, or cut the sheet into shapes for smaller decorations. The kit is aimed at hobbyists and crafters who want a flexible base for a variety of fiber projects.
Pros
- Two full 19 x 19 in canvases included
- Polyester mesh with clear grid for easy patterning
- Wooden-handled hooks with stainless steel fittings
Cons
- Latch tools can be fragile for heavy use
- Some units may arrive with mild odor
- Mesh may be soft or stiff depending on batch
VerdictA straightforward starter kit for latch-hook and hooked-fiber crafts: the polyester canvases offer a clear grid for patterning and measuring, and the wooden-handled latch tools are comfortable for casual use. The mesh is versatile for rugs, mats and decorative panels, though some users report the hooks can be fragile and a mild odor on arrival. Good value for experimenting and small to medium proj

Really enjoy it
A great way to use leftover yarn; my pattern is turning out nice. Not finished yet but very pleased so far.

Made a moss-style rug
Used the mesh to hand-knit a moss carpet and it worked well. I didn't need the hooks, though a relative did and had success.

Mesh a bit soft
Good value, but the canvas can be softer than expected which makes some loops fiddly. Still worth buying.

Nice quality, slight odor
Overall quality is good, but it arrived with a smell that needed airing out for a few days.

Sturdy and well made
The mesh is solid and should make a plush rug; the latch tools are handy extras. Very satisfied.

Won't reorder
The hooks snapped easily and the canvas felt unusually stiff for my project.
