Product description
Purpose-built for cats and small animals, this fountain is not designed for large dogs that take long, high-volume drinks. Keep the water-level sensor and the surface of the water tray clean and free of hair or debris to maintain reliable operation.
The fountain uses an innovative dual-tank layout: a 101 oz / 3.0 L clean water reservoir and a 46 oz / 1.35 L wastewater compartment. Wastewater containing hair, food bits and saliva is routed into the separate chamber so fresh water remains isolated. The product is filter-free by design and includes a black sponge that captures debris and protects the water line from clogs; extra replacement sponges are provided in the box.
Power options include plug-in operation or the built-in 5000mAh rechargeable battery. In the motion-sensing setting (Mode 2) the battery can provide more than two weeks of runtime per charge under typical use. If mains power is interrupted, the fountain automatically switches to battery power to keep water available for your pet.
The 3L clean tank can span several days between refills depending on your pet’s drinking habits; the unit offers automatic drainage cycles every 24 or 48 hours to move soiled water into the waste tank. Flow is tuned for quiet performance—around 20–25 dB—making it suitable for bedrooms and living areas where a low noise level is preferred.
Cleaning is straightforward: rinse both water tanks and the stainless steel drinking tray, and wipe the main housing with a damp cloth (the main unit itself is not submersible). Regularly rinse the black sponge to prevent buildup and use the included spare sponges when needed. Follow the user guide for routine maintenance to keep sensors and valves operating smoothly.
Pros
- Separate clean and waste reservoirs keep fresh water isolated
- Rechargeable 5000mAh battery plus plug-in power with auto-switch
- Quiet operation and sponge trap reduce reliance on disposable filters
Cons
- Needs frequent cleaning and sponge maintenance
- Not intended for large dogs or heavy drinkers
- This model (P003) lacks an app and may be confused with app-enabled versions
VerdictThis fountain keeps drinking water separate from contaminated water using a 3L clean reservoir and a 1.35L waste tank, and replaces disposable filters with a reusable black sponge. It runs on mains or a 5000mAh internal battery that kicks in automatically on power loss and can last multiple days in sensor mode. The unit is very quiet and encourages pets to drink more, but it does require regular a

Be prepared to troubleshoot
I don’t recommend this if you want near-zero maintenance. It stopped working intermittently after a day or two and troubleshooting is vague—there aren’t replaceable motors or filters to swap out. The spout sometimes fails to deliver a full stream despite following fixes.

Works well with vet-prescribed water additives
My vet advised adding a dental solution to my cats’ water, so a filtered fountain wouldn’t work. This filter-free fountain lets additives remain in the clean reservoir. For two cats I refill about every five days; I bought a second unit to rotate during cleaning.

Convenient battery, sponge trap, and quiet flow
I like having the rechargeable battery so the fountain can sit away from outlets; a full charge lasts around two weeks in sensing mode. The sponge replaces costly filters and the unit runs very quietly, so my cat uses it often.

Quiet, responsive and keeps water separate
After a month of use it’s simple to clean and the dirty water stays out of the clean tank. One charge lasts about a week, and the sensors react reliably when cats approach. Also saves money by avoiding replaceable filters.

Low-maintenance for picky drinkers
I wanted a fountain without ongoing filter purchases and this has been easy to own. It disassembles simply for cleaning and there’s no need to order replacement cartridges. My cats have used it happily and maintenance is straightforward.

Great concept — pay attention when cleaning
The 5000mAh battery and the separate waste compartment are clever and keep fresh water cleaner. The reusable black sponge saves on supplies, but you need to be diligent cleaning the sponge, sensor areas and stainless tray to avoid buildup.

Stopped working after one week
I followed the setup instructions, did one empty/refill, and after a week the unit failed to drain properly in Mode 1 and now overfills in both modes. Loved the idea but had to mop up a puddle. Disappointed with the reliability.

No app on this version; wash the dish often
My cat took to it immediately and prefers flowing water. I use Mode 2 so it runs on demand. This unit is the non-app model (P003), which caused some confusion when reading Q&A about the app-enabled P002. You can trigger dish emptying with the mode button.

Cats adjusted quickly and drink more
After an initial adjustment period my cats settled in and enjoy it. The two-tank separation beats my old stainless bowl that backed up and grew mold. The motion sensor that starts flow when they approach is a big hit.

Happy pets and easier upkeep than filters
Bought it five days ago and cleaned it today; my cats seem to prefer it. Old filter-based units left slimy water; this one is easier to follow the care steps. The QR code in the booklet links to a customer video rather than an official demo, but overall I’m pleased.
