Product description
Dual probes for flexible use: The thermometer includes a built-in 4.3-inch foldable probe for quick spot checks of meat, liquids or candy and a separate 6.5-inch stainless-steel probe attached to a 40-inch braided stainless steel cable designed to remain in place inside an oven, grill or smoker while you monitor temperatures from the external display.
Fast, accurate sensing: A rapid-response internal sensor produces readings in roughly 2–3 seconds. The measurement range spans -58°F to 572°F (-50°C to 300°C) with an advertised accuracy of ±1°F, helping you hit desired doneness for steaks, poultry, loaves and sugar work.
Alerts and display features: The unit offers a programmable alarm you set to a target temperature; the thermometer beeps when the preset is reached so you don’t have to watch constantly. The large backlit LCD remains readable in low light or bright conditions, and a Hold (lock) function keeps the last reading visible after the probe is removed.
Power and storage: It runs on two AAA batteries, which are included, allowing quick replacement without specialized cells. For storage and placement the meter has a built-in magnet on the rear for attaching to metal surfaces and a large hang hole for hook storage when not in use.
Use cases and gift potential: Suited for grilling, smoking, baking, candy making and deep frying, this dual-probe kit ships ready to use with batteries installed. It’s commonly chosen as a practical present for home cooks and barbeque enthusiasts who want a versatile temperature tool.

Solid construction and consistent accuracy
Feels well made and the probes are accurate within about a degree across multiple units I own. External and internal probes agreed at typical cooking ranges and at high oven temps. One minor quirk: on some sets you need to open the internal probe slightly for the external lead to be recognized; otherwise the external probe takes over when plugged in.

Build problems for some
Stopped recommending this after the battery cap kept detaching and the display sometimes locked on Celsius for one buyer. Not acceptable for everyone.

Simple and convenient
Foldaway probe is handy, and the audible alarm when the target is reached makes monitoring stress-free.

Clear readout and attractive design
Screen contrast is excellent, it wipes clean easily, and temperature readings are accurate. Looks good on the counter and functions well.

Good for liquids, probe housing could be better
Temperatures for sauces and syrups register well, but the external probe plug isn’t locked tightly in the casing. Inserting is fine but yanking the lead out can sometimes separate the connector from the body.

Speedy and dependable for kitchen and candy work
I wanted a tool to tighten up my cooking and baking. The foldaway probe makes quick spot checks easy while the thin tip slips into meat without leaving a big hole. Readouts are delivered in a couple seconds and line up well with expected temps. The display toggles between C and F and the magnet lets me stick it to the oven. I used it several times for sugar syrup above 240°F with no issues.

Too large for pocket use but fine for big pieces
This unit is noticeably bigger than pocket chef thermometers, so it wasn’t ideal for the person I bought it for. It does read quickly and switching from Celsius to Fahrenheit is straightforward. Keeps accurate temps but best for grilling or very large roasts rather than everyday pocket carry.
