Keto Bulletproof Eggnog Latte 🎄
Nice & (Suuuuper!) Creamy
If you haven’t tried our keto eggnog yet, now’s the time — it’s rich, silky, and perfect for turning into a festive keto bulletproof eggnog latte. This drink makes a delightful holiday morning treat and is equally comforting on any chilly winter morning. Skip store-bought creamers and use real, homemade eggnog for the best flavor and creaminess.
Per serving this latte has about 2 g net carbs and 27 g fat — exactly the kind of macros that make a drink “bulletproof” friendly and satisfying.
The Sweetener 🍯
Our cooked eggnog usually provides enough sweetness on its own, but add more sweetener to taste if you prefer. For a sugar-like level of sweetness without the carbs, we recommend erythritol-based blends such as Swerve or xylitol used in the same amounts. They’re roughly 1:1 in sweetness with sugar and typically have little to no aftertaste.
Important: xylitol is highly toxic to dogs. Keep any xylitol-containing ingredients well out of reach of pets.
The Booze 🥂
Alcohol is optional in the eggnog, but it’s a lovely addition. Dark rum or bourbon are classic choices — both pair beautifully with eggnog and contain no carbs. If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, use rum extract (check labels for added sweeteners) or omit alcohol entirely. The latte is delicious with or without booze.
Fun fact: when eggnog crossed the Atlantic to the American colonies, rum was often used because it was inexpensive compared to taxed spirits. During the Revolutionary War, rum supplies dwindled and bourbon became a common substitute, so both rum and bourbon are traditional, time-honored pairings for eggnog.
