10-Minute Microwaved Steamed Eggs Recipe for Quick Meals

img 3531 1

This is a simple 10-minute meal made using the Innobaby Din Din Smart Silicone Chicken Steamer. If you enjoy the soft, savory steamed eggs served in Korean stone bowls, you can recreate that texture at home using this microwave-safe steamer. I used the main compartment for the steamed egg and defrosted frozen peas and corn in the separate section, then mixed them with butter and cooked rice. I served the dish with apple slices for a quick, balanced meal.

Ingredients

  • 1
    egg
  • 1
    tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1/2
    tsp
    fish sauce
  • 1
    tsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • optional 1 tsp mirin (rice wine)
  • 1
    tbsp
    water

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg in a small bowl until the yolk and white are combined.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, fish sauce, toasted sesame oil, mirin (if using), and water. Whisk gently to combine; it’s fine if the mayo doesn’t fully dissolve.
  3. Pour the mixture into the Innobaby Din Din Smart Silicone Chicken Steamer.
  4. Cover with the lid and set the steamer on a plate to catch any spills. Microwave at 50% power for about 2 minutes 30 seconds, or until the egg is set. Microwave times vary, so adjust as needed.
