Product description
Universal frame fit: The trap uses a patented sliding mounting system that adjusts from 32 to 49 cm, accepting Langstroth, Dadant, UK and National frame sizes. One box will accept the common frame types used by most beekeepers, simplifying swarm-catching logistics.
Roomy five-frame interior: Designed to hold five frames with a 48-liter internal volume, the box gives scout bees a suitable living area to establish themselves. The internal spacing and volume were developed to match swarm behavior and improve recruitment and capture rates.
Multi-use functionality: Beyond acting as a dedicated swarm catcher, the unit can be used as a temporary transfer box during hive moves or as an emergency spare hive. The design allows quick configuration changes without tools so you can move between tasks on the fly.
Sturdy load-bearing base and lightweight carry: A stainless steel keel reinforces the base and is rated to support more than 70 lbs, while the empty box weighs about 8 lbs (without frames), making it easier to carry and hang than many wooden alternatives. Mounting hardware is included to get you started.
Thoughtful design and quality focus: The product is presented as an innovative, practical beekeeping accessory intended to simplify swarm trapping and colony transfers. It combines a professional-capacity interior with a portable form factor to meet both hobbyist and pro needs.

Very lightweight
Hung one in a tree today — easy to handle. Waiting to see how long before a swarm arrives.

Worked for me
Caught a swarm a couple weeks after installation. Setup was easy.

Smart design with one small hitch
Well thought out overall, though the supplied strap is short for trees wider than about five inches. Assembly was manageable unless you have very large hands. Bees began inspecting it within a few days; I’ll buy more when needed.

Satisfied with it
Sturdy-feeling and simple to assemble. Size and layout are practical for catching swarms or basic hive tasks. Arrived in good condition and offers solid value.

Caught swarms fast — great value
Bought three of these, installed one on a fence and had a colony move in within days. Mounting hardware was provided and setup was straightforward. Much lighter than comparable wooden traps and seems durable — survived a drop with no damage. Fits well on trees, fences or placed on a table. Painted the inside with melted beeswax and have already saved on replacement nucs.

Disappointed — returning
Assembly was harder than expected with small connectors and thin-sounding parts. Instructions were poor and it took me over 30 minutes to put together. I worry about how well it will endure hot summer conditions.
