Product description
Contents and counts: The kit contains 225 pieces in total — 30 pre-waxed 6-inch cotton wicks, 30 natural 5-inch wooden wicks, 30 metal bases with pre-tabs, 30 wick holders, 30 paper clips, 60 adhesive wick stickers, two wick placement tubes, 10 decorative candle tags, one pen, 14.9 feet of string and a pair of tweezers.
Materials and construction: The cotton wicks are 100% cotton and come pre-tabbed for easy mounting; the wooden wicks are natural wood designed to provide a subtle crackling burn. Metal bases are pre-attached to make insertion into containers simpler and the adhesive stickers are double-sided to secure the base to glass, ceramic or metal vessels.
How to use: Apply a wick sticker to the bottom of a metal tab or affix the pre-tabbed base directly to your container, then use the centering holders and placement tube while pouring hot wax to keep the wick upright and centered. Tweezers help position tabs and remove debris. The included tags and string let you label jars or add finishing touches.
Tips and cautions: Avoid overloading wax with dyes or fragrance oils — excessive additives can lead to smoking, tunneling or poor flame performance. This kit is well suited for creating new candles or repairing burned-down jars and broken containers by re-melting and combining wax while preserving scent.

Great for recycling old jars
Haven’t started a full candle hobby, but I’ve used the kit to melt several burned-down holiday jars into new candles. It preserves the scent well and is handy for fixing broken glass candle containers. Burn time seems normal—fun hobby starter.

Wood wicks didn’t work for me
Tried these wood wicks across about 20 candles and they extinguished or tunneled quickly. Swapping in a cotton wick fixed the issue every time. Wooden pieces felt very thin—wouldn’t buy again for wood-only projects.

Versatile supplies and reliable centering tools
I appreciate having both 6" cotton and 5" wooden wicks in one kit. The pre-tabbed bases and strong double-sided stickers hold wicks steady during pours, and the wooden wicks stay upright. The cotton ones produce a steady, low-soot flame. The centering tools and tweezers make setup quick.

Comprehensive starter set for hobbyists
This 225-piece set is a solid DIY option with ample supplies. I ordered the 6" cotton size and received the full assortment listed: cotton and wooden wicks, holders, bases, stickers, placement tubes, tags, string and tweezers. Materials feel reasonable and the 100% cotton wicks burn cleanly when used properly.

Good starter kit, learn as you go
Versatile kit that helped me experiment with both types of wicks. It includes centering tools and a set of extras to make candle assembly easier. Remember to watch fragrance and dye amounts to avoid affecting burn performance.

Some useful bits, some filler
Handy when I don’t want to tab and base my own wicks, but many included items felt unnecessary. Lots of paper clips and small extras inflate the piece count. If you only want cotton and wood wicks this may be more than you need; there aren’t instructions so it’s better for experienced makers.
