Product description
Made in China.
This package contains one SubZero Ice Crusher scraper designed for handheld winter scraping. The tool is constructed from rigid molded plastic that forms a flat scraping blade on one end and a toothed ice-chip edge on the opposite end for breaking thicker ice. An oval-shaped foam sleeve is fitted around the handle to provide a softer grip and reduce hand fatigue during repeated use.
Overall length is in the compact range so it stows easily in a glovebox or trunk; the scraping edge is rigid to tackle frost and thin ice while the chipping teeth help start breaks in denser patches. Use it by applying steady pressure with the flat edge to shave frost, and flip to the toothed end to loosen packed ice before sweeping it away. Designed for routine windshield and window maintenance, it is intended for occasional heavy-duty chipping but excels at quick morning defrosts.
Pros
- Comfortable foam oval handle
- Rigid scraping blade plus chipping teeth
- Compact and easy to store
Cons
- Short reach for large vehicles
- Foam grip may peel over time
- Not for very heavy-duty commercial clearing
VerdictA straightforward, no-frills ice scraper that combines a firm plastic scraping blade with a foam-cushioned oval handle and a separate chipping edge. It clears light to moderate frost quickly and is comfortable to hold. Not extremely long, so it’s best for compact cars or occasional use rather than clearing large windshields from a distance. Durable for routine winter tasks, though the foam grip ma

Feels well made, waiting to use it more
Haven’t had much chance to test on ice yet—only snow so far—but the tool matches its description and the handle is comfortable. Confident it will work when needed.

Performs as advertised
The blue foam sleeve is thin but comfortable. The flat blade is rigid for thin ice and the ridged end helps start thicker patches. It’s fairly short, so for very wide windshields you may prefer a longer tool.

Perfect for the occasional Texas freeze
Living where freezes are rare, this scraper was a smart, compact item to keep in the car. When a hard freeze hit, it helped clear the windshield faster than waiting for the defroster alone.

Great value despite minor wear on grip
A small chunk of the handle foam was loose out of the box but it didn’t affect use. Very effective and comfortable; expect a few seasons of use before the foam might start to peel in harsher climates.

Also great for thawing and scraping a freezer
I bought this primarily for occasional frosty mornings, but it became perfect for chipping ice inside a chest freezer after a spill. The scraper cleared the walls and floor quickly and made cleanup simple—just scrape, scoop into a box, and wipe down. Saved a lot of time compared with waiting for a full thaw.

Excellent for light frost in mild winters
I live where snow is rare, mainly frost. This scraper removes frost quickly with no streaking and feels effortless compared with cheaper scrapers. Makes morning defrosting much faster.
