Roomy two-tier habitat: The single-unit Ferret Nation measures 36 x 25 x 38.5 inches, offering a large interior footprint and plenty of vertical space for activity and resting areas.
Included components and customization: Each unit ships with one leak-proof base pan, one adjustable shelf with a removable plastic tray, one angled ramp and ramp cover, plus full-width double doors. The shelf height can be changed to suit your pet’s needs and there are multiple attachment points for hammocks, tubes, toys and other accessories (sold separately).
Construction and safety: Built from durable wire metal on a square-tube frame with a gray quartz hammer-tone finish. Vertical wire spacing is 1 inch, which allows climbing while keeping most adult small animals contained. The unit includes critter-proof dual-locking door latches for added security and an appropriately angled ramp to reduce slips and falls.
Cleaning and mobility: The cage features a removable pan and removable shelf tray for simplified cleaning and litter management, plus full-width double doors for easy access to the interior. Locking casters make it straightforward to move the unit when needed but keep it stable in place during use.
Compatibility and warranty: Designed primarily for ferrets but suitable for other small pets such as rats, chinchillas and some small cats. If you want more space you can add compatible Ferret Nation add-on units. The manufacturer backs this product with a 1 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty and customer support is available for questions or replacement parts.

Sturdy but tricky to assemble
I bought this for guinea pigs and assembly took a long time; clearer labeling on panels would help. Once built it’s solid, doors operate smoothly, ramp has a soft cover, very roomy and rolls easily with a handy storage shelf.

Excellent cage
Bought it for male rats and now use it for my ferrets. Robust construction, very secure latches my ferrets can’t open. Two full-width doors make cleaning easy. Keep in mind the bar spacing isn’t suited for baby rats or some females; a tighter-bar model is better in that case. Customer service was helpful.

Solid build, litter training remains a challenge
Very sturdy and easy to clean. My ferret refuses all litter boxes and displaces them, so waste ends up outside the cage. I wish there were a bottom panel to contain messes. Still a durable and accessible setup.

Well built and customizable
Lots of customization with ledges and platforms. My chinchilla chews plastic, so I replaced the supplied tray, ladder and platform with my own and installed a custom acrylic bottom to keep most of the waste in.

Good choice for guinea pigs
Using it for two guinea pigs and it works well. Both doors give great access and the trays are removable for cleaning. Assembly was fine, but my bottom tray arrived cracked — I’ll contact support for a replacement under the one-year warranty.

Added a third story for chinchillas
I stacked a unit to give my two chinchillas another level. They have plenty of room and the ledges can be rearranged. Installing the extra story needed an extra pair of hands and someone to watch the pets while I worked. They chewed some of the plastic flooring but it’s mostly cosmetic. Note that the wheels aren’t really designed to support three stacked units.

Good for rats, takes effort to build
Holds my four male rats well. It took two people to assemble and the instructions could be clearer. The little plastic caps were stubborn and needed a hammer, but the finished cage is very sturdy. I covered the ladder with a sock to protect small feet.
