Product description
Lumos Ultra E-Bike is a feature-packed smart helmet designed for e-bikes, scooters and bicycles. It includes the helmet unit with integrated front and rear LED arrays, a wireless handlebar-mounted remote for turn signals, and compatibility with the Lumos smartphone app for customizing light patterns, brightness and tracking rides.
Safety is reinforced with a Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) to help reduce rotational forces in an impact. The shell and internal liner meet U.S. CPSC bicycle helmet safety requirements for riders age 5 and up. The helmet also incorporates a retractable face shield that extends over the face for added wind and debris protection.
The shell houses the lighting hardware and electronics; controls are accessible via the included wireless remote and through the app for pattern selection and brightness adjustments. LED indicators provide front and rear illumination and active turn-signal functionality to communicate intent to other road users.
Fit is adjustable to suit head sizes from approximately 54 cm to 61 cm (about 21-1/4" to 24"). The retention system helps achieve a snug, comfortable fit for commuting, road riding, and e-biking. The helmet is intended to be worn in regular cycling positions, with the face shield deployed or stowed according to rider preference.
Battery and charging are handled through built-in ports on the helmet and the handlebar remote, and the app provides connectivity for configuration and firmware updates. The design targets riders who prioritize visibility, electronic signaling and integrated safety systems over a stripped-down, ultralight helmet.

Great product with modern improvements
Excellent helmet, quality and functionality are strong. The visor works well for glasses wearers and the handlebar switch now charges via USB-C instead of a proprietary connector. The magnetic chin closure snaps shut neatly but takes a moment to get used to when opening.

Protection that proved its worth
At 81 I bought an e-bike and this helmet gave me peace of mind. After a pavement fall the helmet’s protection clearly paid off and validated the investment.

Fantastic visibility and useful features
This helmet shines at night and the app lets you tweak the light effects. I use the remote’s speed-sensor mode so the rear LEDs flash quickly when slowing, similar to brake lights. Fit and function are excellent — I use it on my road bike and it performs great.

Worth the upgrade for frequent e-bike rides
Arrived new and ready to use. I ride my e-bike a few times weekly and the unit has been reliable and protective on roadways. The magnetic chin closure makes it quick to snap on and the lighting is very visible at night. It also gives a subtle audible cue when powered on so you won’t forget. I owned the earlier model from 2019 and this feels like a solid step forward.

Keeps you visible and comfortable
I crashed at low speed and hit a tree; the helmet protected me. The visor sits close to my prescription glasses and can distort vision for some, but ventilation keeps my head cool. I wear one earbud and have no fit issues. Would buy again — visibility on the road is crucial.

Customer support slow; visor not removable
I asked support before buying whether the face shield could be removed; I was told yes. The shield distorted vision over my glasses and I discovered it’s glued to the side light assembly, so it can’t be detached as expected. Support was slow to respond.

Pairing with the app was straightforward. The lights and turn signals work reliably. I tightened the retention all the way for a snug fit, so medium might suit average heads better. It’s noticeably weighty — not surprising given the battery and electronics — but overall I’m happy with it.

Good fit for teen e-bike riders
I bought a large for my 14-year-old and it adjusts to fit perfectly. The visor helps confirm proper placement and the lights increase roadside visibility. I chose the MIPS-equipped version because his bike can reach higher speeds; safety features matter most.
