Product description
What’s included
- The unit includes the Blueair Signature SP1i purifier, a multi-stage main filter, and a removable fabric pre-filter. Interchangeable pre-filter covers are available separately to change the look.
Filtration and performance
- The SP1i uses Blueair’s HEPASilent technology across seven stages to capture 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns. OdorFence technology targets gases, VOCs and common household smells to break them down rather than only masking them.
Coverage and speed
- Designed for small to mid-size spaces: it refreshes rooms of about 248 sq ft in roughly 12.5 minutes and can treat up to 1,190 sq ft every hour, making it suitable for bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, dorms and apartments.
Noise and operation
- The unit runs as quietly as about 19 dB on its lowest setting so it won’t disturb sleep or focused work. Fan speeds are adjustable and Auto Mode dynamically changes output based on the measured indoor pollution level.
Smart features and indicators
- Connect and control fan speed, schedules, and settings from the Blueair app. The purifier’s outlet includes a built-in air quality display with five color stages (excellent to poor) and a subtle animation to indicate active cleaning.
Design and materials
- The housing is a lightweight, furniture-inspired plastic shell with a fabric pre-filter that collects hair and larger debris before it reaches the main filter. The compact footprint and modern Scandinavian styling are intended to blend with home decor, and the pre-filter options allow for color customization.
Pros
- Highly effective multi-stage filtration
- Extremely quiet at low settings
- Smart controls and adaptive Auto Mode
Cons
- Remote features require a Wi‑Fi connection
- Replacement filters are consumable
- Coverage limited to small/medium rooms
VerdictA strong choice if you want quiet, automated air cleaning for bedrooms, dorms, or compact living areas. The Signature SP1i pairs a seven-stage HEPASilent filter system with odor-reduction tech and a sensitive sensor, delivering noticeable reductions in dust, pet dander, cooking smells, and smoke in the coverage ranges advertised. It’s exceptionally quiet at low speeds and offers convenient remote

Compact, effective, and easy to maintain
Fits easily in small rooms and makes a real difference. Low settings are nearly silent; high settings move air well for quick refreshes. The removable fabric pre-filter catches hair and dust and is simple to clean.

Great performance and a bit of humor
Quick Wi‑Fi setup and a clean, simple app. The unit is light and quiet; fan levels are subtle and great as white noise in a toddler’s room. Lights can be turned off and filters last months.

Quiet, lightweight, and easy to control
Works silently and pairs with my phone for on/off and monitoring. The unit has a handy indicator and is simple to move. With two dogs, the air feels cleaner, my eyes are less irritated, and my sleep has improved.

Very quiet and effective
Runs very quietly and treats the stated square footage within an hour. Also looks sleek.

Easy Auto mode and pleasing design
Auto mode works if you leave the unit on; timer is handy. It’s fairly silent, the air feels fresher, and you can monitor PM2.5 from the phone when connected to Wi‑Fi.

Solid bedroom purifier with phone control
Everything can be set from the phone, it’s unobtrusive, and it blends with modern decor. The timer and auto sensing work well and the filter life is long.

Quiet under normal conditions, responsive when needed
Bought it because of wildfire smoke and wanted a quiet bedroom unit. Plug-and-play setup, no app required. When the sensor detects poor air, the fan spins up but remains quieter than my other cleaners and clears the room within an hour.

Better odor sensing than the smaller model
Replaced an earlier model that didn’t remove pollen or smells. This SP1i detects cooking odors from across the room and clears them—its sensor and filter are noticeably more sensitive.

Trusted brand and great for bedrooms
Bought these for bedrooms to complement a larger model in shared spaces. The smart sensor adapts fan output for dust and smells and runs quietly so it doesn’t disrupt sleep.

Stylish unit with reliable air tracking
Nice-looking purifier with strong tech. The app shows air spikes (like when I scoop litter), Auto runs quietly, and even higher speeds aren’t intrusive. Keeps dust down and rooms feeling fresher.

Reduced dust and useful remote control
Noticeably less dust around the house. I run one upstairs and one downstairs and love controlling them from the app—adjust speed, set Auto, or power off remotely. It senses odors and ramps up when needed, then settles back down.
