Product description
Programmable 24-hour Timer: This sand filter pump includes a configurable timer with nine possible run durations from 2 to 24 hours, so you can automate filtration cycles to match use and save energy while keeping water clear.
High-Performance Flow: The unit is rated at 3000 GPH motor capacity with an expected system flow around 2400 GPH. It’s intended for above-ground pools up to about 13,000 gallons and provides fast circulation to remove debris and contaminants.
6-Way Multiport Valve: A six-position valve gives you Filter, Waste, Closed, Backwash, Recirculate and Rinse functions for routine maintenance and deep cleaning. Be sure to stop the pump before changing the valve position to avoid damage.
Fitting Kit for Above-Ground Pools: The package contains three hose adapters sized 1.5-inch and 1.25-inch with clamps plus a five-piece 1.5-inch conversion adapter set. These parts are supplied to simplify hookup for most common above-ground pool brands and configurations.

Quick install — check the lid gasket
Setup took about 30 minutes. Important tip: make sure the top gasket is seated properly when you add sand. If the gasket isn’t in place, water and sand will escape from the lid when you run the pump.

Good pump with a few things to consider
Assembly directions are adequate. This model lacks a built-in GFCI and some units lack an integrated timer, so I used an inline mechanical timer. The pressure gauge threads engage shallowly so extra tape may be required. Pump is quiet and much more powerful than my previous Intex unit.

If you’re tired of frequent hand-cleaning of pleated cartridges, a sand filter is a huge convenience. Backwash and rinse routines are simple and can stretch days or weeks between cleanings depending on debris. I inspected the fittings after unboxing and they appear compatible with my Intex pool.

Dependable on our waterfall reservoir
I’ve used other units from this maker for pond aeration and put this 14" sand filter on our waterfall holding pond. Installation was straightforward and it runs quietly. It moves a large volume of water, traps leaves in the basket and left the water much clearer than previous systems. Customer support was responsive when I reached out with questions.
